Kinda reminds me of The Rumble Fish in terms of combat pacing.
Code of Princess has got my attention. I will keep my eye on this, but I cannot see it having a big following.

What an insane cast!
It makes a lot of sense when you look at the companies involved though. First Blade Strangers is being developed by Studio Saizensen who also developed Code of Princess and the most recent Umihara Kawase games. The publisher Nicalis also did all the commercial ports of Cave Story.
I love it! The game feels like a gift. It's a bit rough around the edges (its obvioulsy pre-rendered cel shaded 3d and not hand drawn art), but I don't mind. I love the vibe of it!
So excited to have a new fighting game with Kinu Nishimura characters in it!

While I had dig through the utterly incongruous presenters and their rad pizza in order to actually see the footage, I am delighted by the strangeness of it all, and also of getting to see Solange again without actually having to play her game.
I hope this will be the premier (only?) Blade Stranger thread on the internet.
