There'll be doujin game day at Tougeki in the near future with all these doujin games they're bringing into the arcades.

THIS IS MIRACLE OF GRAPEFRUIT.

I am so, SO happy for Subtle Style. If any, I would have rather bet on Big Bang Beat coming out of the doujin scene, for being much closer to the current trend in how fighting games are supposed to play. Although the Akatsuki series was not exactly unknown or underestimated by any means on the doujin scene, the games deserved much more attention from fighting fans than what they got. Man, that truely made my day.

I aaaaaaaalmost picked up the SS game at messe sanoh this time, but humorously opted for BBB instead. And curiously, big bang beat was indeed playable at TRF arcade in Nakano. Not sure if it was a proper conversion, or just a PC in an arcade cab, but it was certainly there...

Oh yeah, the arcade that used to have maids.
It's the PC ver in an arcade cab. They rotate the machine with Akatuki and another title every once in a while.

Big Bang Beat's team has already broken into pieces and gone their separate ways (again) though! They aren't capable of doing an arcade version!

I'm a member of the anti-maid league.

Edit: Oh, on topic: I'm glad Akatsuki is getting an arcade release, but I don't really think it's READY, it needs a lot of work balancing it still.
