OK, yet another thread "Iggy discovers stuff that has been around like 6 years ago", but I require an explanation.

For what I can gather, this thing is called "Monster", and I guess it's a fan game based on Mugen, probably made by Americans by the looks, the artwork and the fact that 90% of the cast is filled with furries.
Not "Warzard" furries, real creepy yiffy furries.

That's not the surprising part. What I can't understand is the fact there are a lot of characters, all quite well animated, surprisingly well drawn, and the general game feels incredibly pro.
Beside the fact it's GGXX all over again, plus the creepy furry factor of each and every character makes me want to punch me in the face, it looks better than any recent KOF.

DOES NOT COMPUTE.

Somebody please put me out of my misery.

After checking links and reading about the online factor, I think the Mugen factor can be discounted at least - there are a couple of clones, one of which I think is meant to have online play, but it's not that advanced for the time being from what I know...

Lolicon fighting games have had their time in the spotlight, it really couldn't take that long for something like this to come up...

Felicia in Vampire Hunter was a bad sign of things to come from long ago, my friend...

This is largely because youtubes and things like that apply a strong blur to it due to compression. The sprites used in the game are pre-rendered capture from 3D models, and it doesn't look nearly so good when you actually play the game on a VGA monitor. Think Ragnagard on the NeoGeo and you're not far off.

I remember a discussion here about Capcom Fighting Jam, where it was well established that Leo was a furry while Felicia wasn't.
And Hawzer is not a scally either, he's just the cutest thing in this stupid game.

Hahaha! I looks totally new to me though! It looks like the kind of game I would have covered before, but I don't remember anything about it!

Is the game really old? I might have sealed off the memory about the game so I don't have to remember about furries.

People were playing it for a LITTLE while around here... maybe a year ago? But it died off quickly because it is awful and hideous. Akatsuki seems better.

Ostrichs have furries, deal with it
Scorpions and tarantulas will eventually gain furries once evolution catchs up

I think you sealed that memory. Must be a painful affair.
