If it helps... i used to live in the area.
What is C3? Is there a fighting game community back home? The last time I even saw people playing street fighter at the arcade was at a little arcade in Silver Springs.

Yes, there is... it's the "C3 Cyber Club" Monthly tourney, ha ha. A fair number of people come to it, just looking to see if any people here might pop over and maybe join in.

I didn't know arcades existed in the DC Metro area. I moved to the area nearly a year ago. Any good games at this 'cade?

there are no more arcades left in the dc area

its a cybercafe :( just a bunch of xbox's and pc's

Yes, no arcade games, just home systems. People bring their own sticks. Going to be 3S, GG, ST, and probably some other stuff there; I'm going to bring The Rumble Fish 2 and probably Karnov's Revenge or some other random arcade stuff. Real Bout 2?

Woah RF, I never knew it was a monthly thing! Their website seemed confusing to me last I checked so I didn't come by again, but I'd LOVE to have some new competition sometime if I'm in the area, and odds are I might move there soon if I'm lucky. I'm dying to play people in SFZero 2, 3, or Soul Calibur 2...old stuff, I guess, but they're really my thing. Do lots of people come? Who decides the games?

Oh, it doesn't happen every week, only once a month. This month's C3 tourney is this Saturday. Generally speaking, there is a Smash tourney earlier in the day (which has many times more participants than any of the fighter tournies, a real sign of the times...) but I generally get there early anyway to snag a T.V. for the supergun.
