If you made a NGPC collection for DS, what would be on it? Limit yourself to oh, let's say 8 titles.

For me, KOF R-1 and R-2, CFC 1 and 2 (with touch screen implementation!), Samurai Shodown 2, Fahselei!, Magical Drop, and a graphically updated gals fighters.

perhaps this was a pointless topic though.

What do I know? I never even owned an NGPC, I just borrowed one...and that's like borrowing someone's sandwich and not eating it.

I want a horoscope game where SNK characters give me my horoscope. I want to know how my day is going to be from Terry, who will struggle with English...or maybe Kusare Gedou, though I have no idea what kind of horoscope he would give.

Oh...and I want it on PS3. It'll take up 50 gigs, of course.

Interesting you brought that up, I don't have my NGPC in my flat to check but I'm fairly certain I remember the NGPC having a horoscope function. Now why doesn't every other console have that? I thought the Japanese were into that fortune-telling stuff, what with their facination with horoscopes, blood types, etc...

It would also be cool if it included a gui that looks like the NGP system menu, and select the games from there along with other settings and extras.

It definitely did. I used to check it before job interviews!

Juan, you were a FF: first impact fan? I kind of liked it too, it had the best graphics of all the fighters. But it had fewer options and whatnot...

I'm going to be importing these new SNK DS games by the way. INDEED.

Yeah I liked the graphics and the Fatal Fury cast in general. Not as advanced as the other games, but each of the npc fighters had something neat about them.

The favorite still is SvC. A friend and myself bought neo geo pockets with SvC and a link cable a couple years ago. We played it so much (and traded insults in the custom winning quotes) im surprised neither system broke.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't made a cutesy-type SRM game for the DS yet. Maybe the series is "done" or Nintendo won't let them because they don't want to be associated with what was once porn (though they allowed edited SRM 4 and 5 on the SNES, so...).

Could they be tweaked or translated versions? (not to mention extra colours would be appreciated in some cases)

I recall something about the FF game having a versus-mode-only character (the guy from the RB2 intros, Lao, I think), and it'd be interesting to get to use him properly.

Also those games that never even got a fan translation, like that Kof-themed one that worked like some sort of board game or whatever - only fully translated. But maybe there was actually only one of those, didn't read much on the piece.

The 3 Capcom crossover games would have to be there of course - they must have sold the NGPC more than anything else.

That's King of Fighters: Battle Paradise. It's fairly easy to understand, although I couldn't take advantage of the special Card abilities for the most part because I couldn't read them.
