Maybe a bunch of you played it way back when it was first released in Japan, but Rocket Slime is simply too wonderful. I was totally hyped for the game after seeing just one screenshot of it showing the tank battles (for the JP version...), and I was ecstatic that Squenix decided to bring it over to NA. I only wish that you could have a larger crew for your tank, that the game were more difficult, and that there were more and better ammunitions that can either blow up or be destroyed when improperly handled (to encourage you to make more use of these volatile muntions). I never expected that it would be a DQ game that would make me shout, "FIRE IN THE MAGAZINE!"
This game makes me smile.

I've been occupied with Mario Hoops 3on3... it's far better than I had expected even with the innacurate passing. I was also a little let down by no Mario RPG characters in the game... but I guess the Moogle and Mages aren't too bad...
Rocket Slime King will probably be the next DS game I pick up since there aren't many good RPGs out here for DS.

i have been playing it for some time.... it totally rocks! Zedla 2D gameplay + tank battle + DQ monsters = Great...

I stopped the game somewhere just before the final battle because it was too easy and I wasn't interested anymore.

How is hoops? I have read mostly bad reviews, but some good reviews

I am unbeaten... did you do the final tank challenge as well? That was harder, but I didn't lose there either... 900 hp versus 3000!
[edit] p.s. I beat it yesterday and now am bored. the townspeople give you more quests, but they're just to collect stuff, which in turn gets you more stuff for your tank. but since everything's so easy already, I don't need it. maybe if it were on wifi...
