WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? An Ah! My Goddess game for PS2? Man, videogame world never ceases to amaze me...
I won't start complaining about how pointless this desperate franchise milking attempt would be, but it's obvious for me that AMG's star is fading day by day, and there is no use on trying to keep it artifically alive. The series is almost 20 years old, I don't understand why they have waited for so long to launch the usual TV series+games+merchandise+whatever campaign. Well, at least this look sligthly better (and sensible) than that Rurôni Kenshin revival crap.
That being said, as the goddess whore I am, I know for sure I will end up playing this game no matter how crappy it is, so who am i to complain... Disregarding their previous (and boring) incursions on PCEngine and Dreamcast, this could be a nice chance to play with the goddesses in a console, after all. I should know better, but I feel the geek in me is trembling with joy.
Anyway, even tough that new character seems more like Hidenori Matsubara's doing than Fujishima sensei's, I think we will see her showing up on the regular manga. They did the same thing with Rind: she appeared firstly on that silly Q&A game for Dreamcast, and then she made her way into the regular series.

Well, I don't have my kanji dictionary at hand right now so I can't tell for sure, but it's not like her profile says anything really interesting. Apparently, she's an entity who has something to do with the island where the game takes place (maybe she's the boss there?), and such island has a deep connection with the concepts of "memories" and "flowing of time".
I don't know where that "Bell and Skuld's mom" rumor comes from but, as far as I can read, the text does not say (not even suggest) such a thing. Nor do I know who the hell Freya is on the AMG universe...
Anyway, judging from the fact that she does not have any symbol on her face, I don't even think that chick would be neither a deity or a demoness. I suppose she would be the master of the island where Bell & Co. arrive to put an end to this messed memories affair. Only my two cents, though!
