I just pre-ordered to prove to myself it wasn't some kind of dream.

*swoons*

... which leads me back to asking why isn't G.Rev releasing Ronde on the dreamcast.

Nice to see some companies releasing new games for the DC but I have to ask why they are always shooters?

Yeah, I'd rather have it on PS2 since my DC isn't even connected any more, but I really wanted a port of this game, so I'll take it whatever way I can get it.

No no...it goes like this...

1st time:
Why? I loved my Dreamcast, too...but this is just silly.

2nd time:
Why!? I loved my Dreamcast, too...but this is just silly.

3rd time:
WHY!? I loved my Dreamcast, too...but this is just silly.

Until I get a satisfactory answer, then my "why!?" will echo again and again. The only reasons I can think that someone would be excited about a new DC game would be
1)Idiotic fandom (not a valid reason)
2) They don't have any other systems (valid)
3) They want a good laugh (valid, but sad)

A bit of 1) and 2) in my case. Anyway, I think that shooter fans still keep their Dreamcast at hand, and since G.Rev is a very small developer, they went for the easiest possible port.

Consider this: it might sell better than Senko no Ronde on X360.

That would be an instant classic™.

You know...suddenly, I could be completely wrong. If you took me to court, you might be able to (eventually) prove that Japanese developers should go back and produce DC games instead of 360 ones.

Then you could say "Ladies and gentlemen of the court, the Prosecutor Pollyanna could not be more wrong. It is not that companies should not make DC games, but that they should make more and more DC games."

I might object and say that they should make PS2 games instead, but by this point, I'd be the only person in the courtroom, and I would be soaked in my own tears and spit from the DC (which showed its disdain for me, its old friend, when it left the courtroom).

But the DC turned on ME! It's the only system that's ever died on me! *sobs*

I'd say that the thing I want the most is the chance to play the goddamn game.

It's not a given that any arcade game gets released on a console. Sure, putting brand new games on the DC that aren't dating sims seems kinda odd, but I'd rather have the chance to play it than never get to play it at all... and arguing that one could just buy the arcade cabinet is not reasonable.

That said, I'm still surprised that people are STILL in competition for last game to be released on the DC. The thought of Mother 3 appearing as a premium SNES release just keeps seeming less and less unreasonable.

It's the first to die on me as well! Then my saturn went, and then another. Sega only treats me bad because they love me though...right?

Can someone explain this game?

It looks to me like one of the most simplistic shooters ever made.

What is the key to high scoring?
Can you get extends?
