Hmmm, who owned GA before then ? Squenix at 100% ?

Interesting that they'd not care about losing GA, so I guess GIII's sales were quite disappointing.

somehow I thought that too, but no - majority shareholder was the president of Game Arts, and after that Gungho was already the 2nd biggest. there was another company at the same level, then squenix was after, with about 11% - and they still actually own that much of the company, they haven't sold theirs.

Gungho? For some reason, I've never heard of them...surprising that Grandia III seemed to be so obviously under Square Enix's control despite their having only 11% share. I don't know what Grandia III's sales were, but given that Lunar~Genesis sounded like a real misfire, I guess GA wasn't looking like a good holding.

...will it be coming out in the US? Or has it been released already? Anyone know if it's good? I'm not much of an RPG player, but I liked Grandia II and I'm hoping for a similar experience.

So Enix was once again only a publisher, and it might even stay that way with GungHo-owned GA. Interesting.

If only. Squeenix has been sitting on the goddamn Ogre Battle license forever now that they're just focusing on Kingdom Hearts and FFVII spin offs.

I can't think of the last decent game they've put out.
