Oh, that's not fair!! I began playing classic RO recently... I expect private servers continue supporting the classic one, although RO 2 looks impressive... I wonder whether I'd be able to play it with my crappy 512Kb DSL connection...

Live online telecast from TGS of the official unveiling of RO2 tomorrow.

http://www.gravitygamez.com/

Also, they're still supporting RO anyway, after taekwon, seiken & soul linker they're already implementing another new dungeon again.

Ahh, so it uses the Unreal 2.x engine. For a while I thought it went with Unreal 3 engine which would be such an overkill. 2.x sounds just about right. (Oh, speaking of which I hear that Huxley, a FPS MMORPG, will be using the Unreal 3 engine) Thanks for the pics/links and congrats FCL.

"Emil Chronicle Online" , posted Sun 18 Sep 01:50post reply

While we're on the topic of MMOs...

Gungho has published their game stats and revealed the 2nd class jobs for Emil Chronicle Online.
http://www.4gamer.net/news.php?url=/news/history/2005.09/20050917223143detail.html

The percentage number of people playing as Tatarabe in that game is amusing. I'd thought it was unpopular enough to become popular, but i guess it's just THAT unpopular. The number of people playing Vates is strange though, a healing class being the most used.
http://www.4gamer.net/news/image/2005.09/20050917223143_14big.html

And... the majority of characters in the game are female. The audience is right.

nothing surprising with the sex ratio. I'm surprised by the most popular job in the game.

I'm a 16 year old petite Japanese schoolgirl who enjoys fighting games and MMORPGS.

Please...be gentle with me. *blushes*

Well, now tha we're talking about MMORPGs...does anyone know about a game called RF Online? I think it's a new Sega game, ala Phantasy Star, but it's going to count with some character designs by Masamune Shirow...

I told you Shirow´s work deserved its own thread... I mean, Shirow´s artwork is the only interesting thing I see in that game.

And I guess this is as good a place as any to post this link. RagnaInfo has a translation of the official RO2 site.

FYI, TGS 2005 is already over but in case anyone missed the opening launch of RO2, you can still watch the recorded video at their Gravity Games Playground.

You can even download and save the streaming video onto your hard drive by using CoCSoft Stream Down 3.3, so you can view the RO2 anime demo trailer that they had screened during the launch.
