Workshops designed to draw minorities into designing video games is profiled at CNN. Possibly the most surprising piece in the article was the following line: Roughly 80 percent of video game programmers are white, according to preliminary results of an International Game Developers Association survey. Does this mean there are people outside of Japan who program video games?

once you realize that...

A)japan isnt the mecca for games anymore(for every GREAT title we get 9000 shitty dating sims/anime based 3rd party garbage)

and

B)that ALL of japan = the population of california

then yes, it makes perfect sense that 80% of the programmers/developers/etc are white.

Just like US were for one GREAT game you have the same amout of pityfull strategie game, FPS like, Shitty sport or movie adaptation, and we shouldn't forget the ridiculus MK like action game....
