"High number of sequels question" , posted Thu 4 Aug 09:34

With SRW J being the sixth game on the series for GBA alone (with Advance, Reversal, Destiny, Original Generation, Original Generation 2) I was wondering, any other saga has as many games on a single system? (Not counting spinoffs or ports)

The only series off the top of my head I can name is the Megaman series for NES, there were 6 of those. While it's a spinoff, there have been 5 of the .EXE series for GBA... I guess you can count the various Bemani series (Beatmania and DDR for PS1, IIDX and Pop'n Music for PS2).

Armored Core series has eight I believe on the PS2 if you count the two expansion packs, six if you don't.

Dragon Warrior had four games for the NES, and if you count ports for games games like Fatal Fury and KoF rack up high numbers for their consoles....

Robot Taisen also did many scores on the PSX, Alpha, Alpha Gaiden, F, F Final, Neo SRT, SRW 4, Shin SRT Panzer Warfare and SNES games the collection + the Super Robot Encyclopedia.

Megaman also scored many games for the basic GB

Final Fight had 4 games on the SNES, normal FF, FF Guy, FF 2 & FF 3.

I can't recall more, specially since I'm writting with one hand and eating with the other...

For a game that doesn't have such high sequel numbers, but they are all completely useless, we have Guilty Gear.
