Maybe it was just me, but I thought it was supposed to be a direct sequel to Ys3.
Actually, it's going to be a complete remake a la Minstrel Song.
I guess they really hated the Taito version.

Oh, so that's why there's a piece of the beggining of the "A Premonition" song from Ys III in the Falcom logo from the trailer? And now that I think of it, that's why they're putting in the package the whole soundtracks and the perfect collection CDs related to Ys III?

Interesting. Now I'll wait to Konami's PS2 port...

Hmmm...so I wonder if a lot of the soundtrack will be recycled? The Ys 3 soundtrack was amazing and if it's done as well as the the trailer, then...it might be the best Ys soundtrack ever. Unlikely, but I'm still excited.

Gosh, what hole have you been hiding under?

Incidentally, as for the soundtrack, Falcom has some music samples available on their website for download. It is not disappointing in the least.

The soundtrack is basically everything from Ys III, with at least the addition of one of the 'unused' midboss tracks (which is "Chop!!") and maybe a couple new ones (won't know for sure until after the game is out).




I found Kagami's sword in a junk yard.
I will rule the world and find that truly good cup of coffee.
