Just in case anyone wonders about my day job (HAHA), here's the digital version of game developer magazine. there's only one sample issue up right now - not my favorite one, but I'll tell you some about what I did on it.

I did the EA/PSP interview, which is cool I think, because he talks in a very non-traditional way for EA, ie sharing secrets, being very forthcoming and honest about the PSP limitations. good stuff.

I generally take care of 'Necessary Evil' (now called business level) and aural fixation, as far as editing and getting someone to do it.

Usually I do about half of the news section, but only did the back page this time...nothing much. It's because it was basically a wrapup of stuff that happened at GDC.

I'm also generally responsible for choosing/getting the art for the Thousand Words section, but not for the placement or positioning, our art director does that.

Check out some of the older covers, starting in december. I had the idea that we should change up how the cover looks pretty frequently, and about 60% of everyone was onboard, so we've done it a few times. I really like the March cover...a lot. but that's probably because it was my idea. hehe.

Our art guy really rocks, when he has time to. He also has to work for two other departments simultaneously.

as far as having to do something in order to get money and live, no matter what I do, yeah, I enjoy this job. But if I had the choice to not work and have the same amount of money, I'd not work. heh.
