No. It is too short, the stages repeat themesleves, and very easy. The only thing it has going for it is the soundtrack. I beat this game on one life after about 10 tries on normal difficulty. I have never done that with a shooter before. Hard was not difficult either. I guess if you need a Darius on-the-go fix it may be ok.

yeah, see...that's the thing. I kind of do. But it's really expensive!

ugh...if it were really good it might've been worth it, but if it's too easy, I dunno. I have always found darius to be one of the easier shooters in general though.

While not as exciting as Vol 1 these are the ones that I will enjoy playing. This also saved me from purchasing Gekirindan for the Saturn. I enjoyed it at the arcade.

I've seen it for $50 or more new, most places. Bleh! Maybe I'll contact you about it later.

and I agree, this comp is not as exciting...but I like cadash! and I've never played the arcade version. I beat the hell out of the PCE one though.

Anyway, what the fuck is wrong with you people ? Besides G-darius, this volume has the godly Mizubaku Daibouken, king of all cute games, plus Qix and Violence Fight which ruled my youth.

It also features the evernicey wouldn'tbuythemalonebutgreattohaveinacollection shooters Layer section II and Gekirindan, the best Puzzle Bobble episode ever released in the arcades, NZS in it's original arcade shape (whereas most home versions fucked it up) and Gun Frontier which sucks ass but will help people not wasting time and money in the saturn version jsut for the sake of owning the predecessor of Metal Black. Also, Gamefront had forgotten Akkanvader, for a reason I can't even begin to fathom.

Arcade version has more charas.. PC Engine version only has the fighter and the mage, right? (I'm the opposite of you, I've never played the PC Engine version, only the arcade... BLACK PUDDING APPEARS!)

I love you Taito.

Will it get rid of the slowdown that the playstation version has? I love that game, but the framerate drops a lot, its especially noticable after playing Darius Gaiden for a long time.
