Just some wacky news related to Japan:
All Nippon Airways released an amazing set of figures covering the different uniforms their stewardess used during their story. http://www.astyle.jp/defaultMall/categoryshop/figure/docs/shoptop.html
And of course, it created a fan following, this site even has an imageboard and a drawing board. http://homepage2.nifty.com/anauni/
And there was a fan meeting at Akihabara. http://www.knee-socks.info/ana528/
There are fanarts around the net as well... Only in Japan? yes, but I would love to get the set, I won't lie...

Just like to add... ANA is the best airline I've ever flown on. Amazing service.
I wonder if I can get some even MORE amazing service on my trip back ...

Hohohoh, in that case, you must one-up your previous flight by flying Singapore Air! I hate flying (despite doing it a lot), but riding their plane was the closest I ever had to a good time in the air. They had Japanese and American food choices, beautiful waitresses in the Singapore equivolent of a kimono or formal wear, snacks, real warm towels (not microwaved ones), and a Super Famicom in my seat TV. I definitely beat Super Mario World and relived the pain of getting abused by Super Adventure Island, too.
