Stay skeptical.

1) It's pretty easy to load images onto the PSP.
2) Those shots use the original Genesis sprites.
3) Are those enemies abnormally strong, or how would you come across 26 and 96 hits there?

Either way, though, those images do look nice & flashy.

And yet another thing to consider would be the URL -- you can tell http://www.tok2.com/home/hirano6862/ is a personal one just by looking at the URL name in itself. Go to the page, and it seems the guy hasn't even uploaded a main page for the site yet. (The encoding was in EUC_JP for me.)

And, well, a quick look at tok2.com -- not exactly a gaming news site. It's a portal site.

[This is all assuming this site is the original source for the images. If it isn't -- meh.]

... still, though, these images definitely aren't a bad find. They can be used for some mischief for April Fools'...

Heh -- I didn't catch that the person also used the Genesis backgrounds!

I did catch onto the face in the user icon -- though, I didn't think that was as strong a reason to call BS.

I didn't think the genesis backgrounds were enough to call BS, as that's done all the time. The location is what seemed oddest to me, but that character shot is even more convincing.
