I don't really know much about Vanessa (heck, I've never even used her), so Akira kinda gets this one by default.
Julia is drop dead gorgeous (most especially in T4 with those glasses and the denim outfit) and Mina is just annoying.
Tiffany-high pitched, annoying, crap gameplay stereotype. Taki-sexy, deadly ninja. For me the choice is obvious.
I like the designs for both Sophitia and Shiki, but Shiki's just cooler.
Ivy/Talim is tough, becauses I love both, but I actually voted Ivy in, and having one of the best butts in all videogames doesn't hurt either.
Rain is an awesome character design with cool attacks. Meanwhile, the DoA girls annoy the living piss out of me. Again, the choice was obvious.
Speaking of the DoA girls-Ayane vs. Lei Fang. I don't like any of the DoA girls, so I just chose the one with the name I like better.
And Kyoko/Tracy...I don't know Toshinden at all, but I'm sure I probably would've chosen Kyoko over Tracy anyway. Kyoko is one of my godesses.

If you all remember the nomination tie breaker, you all would understand why these matchups exist. You think I even liked my tie breaker? No. Talim's going up against Ivy, which is no contest. The reason I planted that tie breaker was because it helped me figure out which characters get which rank better. It was better than me having picked horrible random matches. --'

I always would have loved to see a high res 2D fighter with Toshinden's designs. Sadly it would have still been crap, but it would have been terribly pretty crap.
Ha ha ha! If there's a 2D fighter with "Toushinden's" designs, it'd actually look interesting to me at least. The gameplay may be kimoi, but it still would be a pretty looking game.

Akira vs Vanessa: Akira, since I haven't ever played VF. Well, 2 credits at VF2, if that counts.
Mina vs Julia: I like Julia in her T4 outfit (the one with jeans and glasses) a LOT. So much that wins by a little margin against Mina, who I also like a lot.
Tiffany vs Taki: Badass, gorgeous ninja > boobs with a body.
Shiki vs Sophitia: I like Shiki's design, but Sophitia has been always one of my favourites.
Ivy vs Talim: I like both, but I like Talim more gameplay-wise than personality or desing-wis, while I like Ivy in all aspects. Therefore, Ivy wins.
Kasumi vs Rain: Don't like DOA, haven't played SG: Null vote.
Ayane vs Lei Fang: I don't like DOA. Well, Tina a bit, but she isn't here.
Kyouko vs Tracy: This is just not fair. I like Tracy a lot (I just forgot to vote her in the preliminaries), she was my favourite of BAT, and Loved her design. However, I'm totally in love with Kyoko, so there's no contest. At all. Kyokooooooooooo  !

There'll be changes I'll be making starting in the second round. Instead of a week, the voting periods will be only three days long. This will be done because one, less entries left means that you should not spend a lot of time deciding and two, around 75% of the votes (if not, way more) have been made within three days, meaning that I shouldn't have to wait a while to get a result.
