It's monthly and it's bought by older consumers. I think ROD was in it at the time? Aoi Nanase was there also... Right now, It has Last Order, the best SF manga right now despise the impressive rate of satori achieved by Gally (roughtly one per volume) and Bastard!!, which in a surprise move that nobody expected, still continues after 5 consecutive episodes.
SBR joining them is natural, even without the short stories Araki already published there. It's a magazine for people who grew too old for Shônen but want to continue reading their favourite series (Gunm was in V Jump I think, but it's the same system).
