Here's my rundown on series. I'll provide more details later, unless someone beats me to the punch.

"Canan"

I'll probably watch this.

"Digimon X Evolution"

I'd rather have this series die...again than let it continue.

"Monochhichi"

Wa~y too weird for me.

"Raimuiro"

Don't count on it.

"Starship Operators"

Eh. Not something I'd want to see badly.

"Negima"

The only reason I'm watching this is because of the amount of voice actors I recognize. Also, when was the last time Shiratori Yuri-san voiced in an anime? I wouldn't be surprised if the answer's "Love Hina" ironically.

"Jinki"

This is a maybe series.

"Xenosaga"

I actually have high hopes for this one.

"Air"

I guess Toei's had too much of "Kanon". Anyway, I will be watching this, but I know that a lot of story materials will not be mentioned.

"M: P"

Again, way too weird for me.

"A~! Megami-sama" series number 1,274

I will watch it, but I'll probably end up regreting it later on.

"Tenkomori"

Definitely passing on this one.

"Peach Girl"

Don't like her art personally, though I surprisingly like "Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai's" anime, as I never read the manga.

"Mafukiden: Pandarian"

Passing on this one also.

"Transformers -Galaxy Force-"

Maybe, if I feel up to it.

"Suki na Mono wa Suki Dakara Syouganai!!"

Looks way too bishounen/biseinen for me.

"Gallery Fake"

Not a series I'm highly interested in, but if I feel like it, I'll watch an episode or two.

"The Witch Village Story"

Another KS anime, another anime I'll be passing on.

"Ultimate Girls"

Highly doubt it.

"Mahoraba"

Seeing that this is a J.C. Staff series, I'll watch this.

"B Legend"

I'll be passing on this one as well.

"Damekko Doubutsu"

See "The Witch Village Story".

"Samurai Champloo" 2nd season

Sorry Fuu. I will not be watching you again.

"Girls Bravo" 2nd season

Different station, same horrible scenario.

"Shinshaku Sengoku Eiyuu Densetsu: Sanada Juuyushi"

I don't know. I'll wait until the date, though I'm more leaning towards passing on it.

"Iriya no Sora UFO no Natsu"

Seeing that I usually watch Toei anime, I will watch this.

"Buzzer Beater"

I know people in the Philippines will watch this, but come on. I don't see how it can be better than "Slam Dunk", even though I don't like watching sports series in general.

"Pretty Cure Max Heart"

I am giving "Futari wa Pretty Cure" a second chance, though I don't know if this will have what I saw in the first episode.

"Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan"

I'll watch it I guess.

Edit: I missed an error.

The best thing this season is that Otogizôshi will finally die.

quote:
"Suki na Mono wa Suki Dakara Syouganai!!"

Looks way too bishounen/biseinen for me.

Actually, this used to be a porn yaoi game.
Every link to a torrent of this anime will give you the plague and a cancer of the AIDs.

Good golly! There's a torrent of this game? I'm surprised not many rabid fangirls have chased after this torrent file.

"Negima's" up to it's fourth volume by now? I heard about a "Yotsuba to!" anime, but I don't know any more than that. Chances are that it will air later this year.

Negima started March 12, 2003. Erm...well, the manga did at least. I can't stand the series, but I bought the shonen magazine it started in with hopes of selling it someday.

Negima sounds cool. But a Peach Girl Anime? Whoa. Couldn't continue reading the Manga after the first few volumes with the main character being an overall dummy. An Anime would be interesting to see. Still, not much that excites me on that list. Gosh darn it, can't someone make a Fist of the Blue Sky Anime and put it on TV? And keep the people behind the Fist OVA FAAAAAR away from it? What about continuing the Berserk Anime? How about a JoJo TV Anime? WAAAAAAA!!!!! Sano cries at the current state of Anime and wishes it was the 80s and 90s again. The last two Anime Shows I liked were Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex and the Ninja Scroll TV Anime.

So, is the Viewtiful Joe Anime still going on? Anyone see it? Is it any good, or Rockman EXE Anime quality?

Ah, having anime back to the ways of the 80's and 90's would be something. There are a few series that need to be finished in being fan subbed. Hee hee.

Oh. As for the series you have mentioned that need to be continued, as far as I know, there are no plans of continuation. "Viewtiful Joe's" still going on until October. (Yes, October.) I heard good views (no pun intended) about it.

Ha ha ha! The seiyuu are aging alright. Kikuchi Masami-san and Inoue Kikuko-san are the only ones that are 40 and over.

Okay! The next post will have a list of the anime, the studio and the directors.

If I get to watch anime at all in 2005, I'll want to watch the Stellvia sequel. That is, if it gets past the planning stages at all.

And Ichigo Mashimaro. Then again, I probably wouldn't watch past the first episode because it'll suck.

Geez, I missed this...I blame World of Warcraft and the shiny new Stellvia season 1 DVD's...

Anyway, as big of an AMG fan I'm kinda of cold on the new TV series right now, simply cause I'm not too excited they're starting over from the beginning. I see why they're doing it (it's been so long since the OAV's) but I'd much rather see stuff from the later manga chapters animated...

Other shows I'm looking forward too? Stellvia 2 like Zepy if it gets made. Full Metal Panic 3, as Gonzo looks to be far away from the production phase. And a third season of Marimite...

And Comic Party Revolution TV series...As long as the staff of To Heart: Remember my Memories STAYS far, far away from it. Less I'm forced to do something unpleasaent...

I realize they're starting over, but I liked it then... so I'm sure I'll like it again (but now with pretty animation!). who knows? maybe it will (eventually) get to later manga chapters, unless its one of those 13-episode anime seasons which are popular. have they announced how long its set to run?

Yeah... we won't have time to watch it all. Unfortunately, we're going to have to dismiss at least 50% of that list as crap before ever watching it.

Unfortunately, that leaves another 40% of the list as crap we're actually going to watch.

Ah, thanks for going to the trouble to post all the links, but...
I must be getting old. Not ONE of those series looks any good. All of them except the incredibly abnormal ones (Tenkomori, Witch Village Story, Damekko Doubutsu) look terrible, in fact. Well, actually, I have no idea what Dokurochan is going to be like, since the webpage sucks. Oh, and good for Ah! My Goddess, but see if I give a damn.

Oh well, and there's Samurai Champloo...I forgot about that. It's good enough, I suppose.

I like to watch one episode of any show that looks decent and usually find one show a season I like, but this is looking pretty grim.

Mahou Sensei Negima
The list of anime to follow grows shorter.
It hurt my eyes even more than Gankutsuou.
I like the manga a lot, and it's terrible to see the animation so bad and the colours so... fluorescent.

The good:

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -

1) Sayo moe...
2) surprise Yaoi manga
3) cute ending

End of Spoiler

Next to watch = Xenosaga!

I was out all day yesterday. I bought the books I was missing in my "Mangetsu o Sagashite" manga set (I think), I bought two albums: one from Hayashibara Megumi-san and the other from Suzuki Ami-san, and I saw "House of Flying Daggers". I nearly killed my wallet right there.

"Full Metal Panic 3", as Gonzo looks to be far away from the production phase.

So, Gonzo's doing it again? I don't remember hearing this.

quote:
Have they announced how long its set to run?

26 episodes.

quote:
How does one have time to watch even 1/2 of those?

Simple. You don't. No matter how hard you try, you will never have the time you need to watch even half of the shows. You cut half of those shows that are poor and then you still have a bunch of series to debate over.

quote:
That must be your priority ratings on the left?

No, those are the dates. What I'll be seeing is shown on the first post.

quote:
Not ONE of those series looks any good.

Didn't see this note earlier, but give "Starship Operators" a chance. It's by Mizuno Ryou-san, the same guy behind "Record of Lodoss War", which made me think twice before saying that I shouldn't watch it right away. I don't know if you saw "Kanon", but if you did, you have to see "Air".

quote:
"Mahou Sensei Negima"

The list of anime to follow grows shorter.
It hurt my eyes even more than "Gankutsuou".
I like the manga a lot, and it's terrible to see the animation so bad and the colours so...fluorescent.

The good: next to watch, "Xenosaga"!

Ouh. That bad, huh? I'm still going to see it just because you don't hear Yuri-san in anime anymore. I'll have to watch "Xenosaga" also.

Edit: placed the number of episodes in the "A~! Megami-sama" television series and I just wanted to say that "Negima" will have a year-run. (In other words, it's 52 episodes long.)

Edit II: since I was at Kinokuniya yesterday, there are eight volumes of "Negima" that are out, not four. (Hey! I haven't read the series in a while.)

Looks to be a solid season to me. LH TV may have been contrived (compared to manga) but it was still better than a lot of the crap out there people watch. I'm sure Negima will be ok at least. Then we get Xenosaga and AMG. I don't know for how long I've prayed for AMG TV so this is a dream come true for me.

The fact that they want to start it from the beginning tells me that they want to do the series right. They could've easily alienated a lot of new viewers by starting in the middle of no where. (AMG Movie confused the hell out of OAV people) But they didn't and that gives me hope. I saw the commercial at animesuki and I thought it looked great. (better than OAV)

I should repent for all those times I said it's never gonna happen. Then some of that other stuff you mentioned looks intereting too and I'll still keep up with the staples like One Piece so... Thanks for the list Bata kun. You rock. Oh, and long time no see threesixtee. Welcome back.

Well, Bata-kun just saw "Negima".

Honestly, whether or not I'll be able to spend a year with a series only because of the seiyuu remains to be seen. Like Holiday said, the anime is too bright and there are cases where I don't like the overall color layout. Maybe I'm still sleepy, but I could have sworn Asuna has "Samurai Spirits's" Shiki's eye situation. Please tell me I was still asleep and that Asuna really doesn't have Shiki's eye situation. The designs don't look that right, but what else is new? It's hard to judge an anime after one episode. Thus, I can't really say much, though I have to ask, "Who drank too much sake to make Asuna do that gig in the beginning?"

Some people don't like the seiyuu choices. I personally like most of them. The characters that have borderline seiyuu up to this point however are Asuna's (as I am used to hearing Kanda Akemi-san play as the genki-type of girl) and Ayaka's. (Maybe I'll get used to it after a few episodes.) The opening presentation is eh, but the ending's one is nice. The eye catches are cute actually. The songs are catchy, though not really memorable up to this point.

Unlike "Da Capo", in which I actually gave watching after only an episode even though I said I'd watch it because of the seiyuu, I'll actually keep this promise of watching this series. Yeah, I'll watch it, but it'll be ugly, especially since I have to remember 30+ girls. At least I get to hear Yuri-san in an anime again. We might not get the chance to hear her in an anime again for another four years if that happens. So, I might as well make the best of this opportunity.

Edit: I made corrections and I wanted to say that "Negima's" fourth English manga volume came out last month. Huh. Fancy that.

if you mean she has different eye colors, yes - asuna has one green and one blue eye. if that's not what you meant... sorry -_-;

just watched AMG ep 1. I'm not familiar with the manga, only the OAV and movie, but regardless, I really liked it (coulda used more belldandy though). OAV showed how keiichi was a nice guy and all, but his only shortcoming (pun!), was his height. I liked how this ep showed how unfortunate he was, but how good of a person he was above all else. if that's how it was in the manga, I don't know, but it shows a ton more depth already than the OAV did.

Great scott! It wasn't an illusion after all! She does have two eye colors!

I'll move to another anime on my must see list now.

I can only speak for the english releases, but I think it gets good at volume 3. first two aren't BAD per se, but its just fluff. nothing but panty shots and compromising situations and whatnot (like I said, it isn't BAD, I enjoyed it). once evangeline comes in, stuff gets tons better.

"Negima's" okay. Just don't expect much out of it, seeing that there's not much of a story to begin with.

AMG had a better start than the ovas, but it doesn't helps that it's starting from the beginning, since I don't really care about the motor club, not when I could have Sigel, Welsper, Lind, Peorth, Keiichi's parents and all the great stories from the later manga (I would love to see the chapter of the interdimensional whale that was supposed to have music by The Carpenters animated, with the actual music).

Xenosaga was kinda boring and the animation wasn't that great.

Negima had no pantsu, the bastards.

Konami's doing another game based on an Akamatsu-sensei series. Not surprising.

Yes, I know "Air" has been out for a while, but I wanted to wait for The Triad's version.

So, this is why "Air" was delayed for a year or so, eh? The anime looks very good so far and they have kept the voices from the games. Whether or not it'll be better than "Kanon's" anime remains to be seen.

Ishida Youko-san: she's a good artist. There's no doubt, but to have her sing the opening song of "A~! Megami-sama" is unnatural to me at least. I'm enjoying the song, but like I said, it feels unnatural.

"Negima's" second episode is out. They need to have Sayo speak more. I came to hear Yuri-san again. Let Sayo speak more Miyazaki Nagisa-san! =P
