I think it's possible, as Iggy has suggested, that the boss is named Kibou or something like that. Ai's name means "Love", Yuuki's "Courage", so why not a boss named "Hope"? It would be so appropriately dorky. No matter what he/she is named, though, I fully expect an old SNK style impossible to beat boss. I wouldn't have it any other way.
