I hasd a friend a few years ago back in like 2000-01 tell me to invest in Yu gi o cards. I thought he was crazy. I guess we found out who the crazy one

YuGiOh, Magic, Pokemon ... all those stupid games i jumped into because my friends did .. although i do miss Magic a lot. in all of those games, i was never rich enough to purchase and construct those $100+ tournament "god" decks that are listed in magazines or posted on the internet. but they were great games to play with friends, specifically those that have the same budget as you. (even if they were rich kids that could afford those insane rares, it was always fun taking them down with $3 worth of cards)

by the way, i haven't played YuGiOh in what feels like years, but that card is really, really awesome. which (i guess) explains its zany price. too weak to be taken down by that one trap we all use, and just entirely too abusable. but i don't know who'd be crazy enough to actually play with that in their deck. i remember i was too scared to even play with my $20 rares, fearing they'd be warped/lost during the game

oh wow. i haven't chat like that in years! this medicine+no_sleep combo is distasteful

I got to admit I got into the Yugi oh craze also. Personally, I thought it was interesting collecting the cards I suppose but playing was quite the big thing for kids in highschools. Playing the game felt quite different, some wierd feeling. Every time I would be heading home to the student parking or to my locker to pick up my guitar lot kids would sometimes be flooded after school to play Yugi oh.

I guess its that stagnant high school class or cliquish like feeling that didn't make me want to play or be associated with them. Though It was nice seeing upperclassmen join in and play instead of kicking them in the head.
