Dio means God in Spanish
Right, Dios. My bad. (I think I broke some type of record about being wrong about stuff on MMCAFE this week. Thanks all for any corrections. I'm not sure if I come off as a know it all but I always appreciate corrections, only a real know it all wouldn't. ) In the Dominican Republic we tend to leave off the S a lot of times for slang, so we would call him Dio, say pistola(gun) without the s and say pitola, and so on. That's how I was raised and when I speak Spanish it's like that. But it's slang talk. Um, I'm not exactly sure you'd call it slang since adults talk like that, it's only like professors, rich people and stuff in the Dominican Republic who don't speak that way. Listen to a lot of Merengue and you'll get it. You'll even hear Dio a few times.
Ryu and Chun-Li forever!
