Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced- Images, Details Released

(Namae No Nai Heya) Details and images on Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced has been released by Square through Shueisha Publishing's Weekly Jump magazine. FFTA is not a remake of the Playstation1 title, and will be based on a completely new storyline and characters.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced takes place in a world of swords and magic that came out of a book called "FF", after one of the main characters- Mute, made a wish that his world would change into the world depicted inside the book.

Three main characters are revealed to be in the game. Marshe is the hero character, in a quest to return his world back to normal. Mute is a quiet child who always gets bullied, but is good friends with Marshe. Ritz is the heroine character with a strong personality.

In addition to the familiar Job Change system in the Final Fantasy series, three new systems are confirmed to be in the game as well--

Judgement system- A judge will determine the victor of a battle.
Crun System- A "Crun" (spelling unknown) basically refers to a multi-purpose handyman. The player can work as a Crun and take a number of various jobs.
Region Create
System-
FFTA does not have a pre-determined world map. The player can create the world map on his or her own.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Gameboy Advance, price and release date undetermined. For scan images of the game, check Namae no Nai Heya and Animekakumei.

Short Comment: There's been rumors of it being a fresh new game, but I'm quite surprised that Square actually went through it. It'll be interesting to see the rest of Square's upcoming titles for Nintendo as well. -Henry A. Moriarty

The OAGC system is currently already running in Hong Kong under Billybala's pay-per-play service, "igame"...

MIT Steals from Comic Book, Wins Award from US Army

"Reuters / By Greg Frost-- CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Reuters) - When MIT announced in March that it won a $50 million grant to design high-tech gear for the U.S. Army's "soldier of the future," the project was hailed as the stuff of science fiction and comic book heroes.

It turns out there was a lot more to those plaudits than most people realized.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology grudgingly acknowledged on Wednesday that it copied images from the sci-fi comic book "Radix" as part of its winning bid to host a research center that aims to make soldiers partly invisible and allow them to clear 20-foot (6-meter) walls in a single bound."
