SNK vs Capcom News Release (10/16/99)
 

 

SNK announced their next sequel to the Fatal Fury series- Garou -Mark of the Wolves- .
This game is SNK's latest release for their MVS system.

While Mark of the Wolves is a 2D game, this latest installment in the Fatal Fury series does not inherit the line system, nor any of its characters except forTerry Bogard.

Mark of the Wolves introduces the next generation of fighters, starring Geese's son (and possibly Terry's adopted child), Rock Howard as the main character. Rock is a blond short-haired boy who wears a jacket with a star, just like Terry. His moves consists of Geese's and Terry's attacks, such as Reppuken, Rizing tackle, counter Crackshoot, Raging storm, and super Burnknuckle.

Other characters relating to Fatal Fury's past includes Kim Kaphwan's two sons- Donphwan and Jeiphwan, and an inheritor of the Shranui clan, Hokutomaru. There is also a Kyokugenryu fighter named Marco Rodorigez, and a Hakkyokuken style fighter.

Kevin Ryan -Military man
B.Jenny - Uses natural elements


The System
A= Weak Punch
B= Weak Kick
C= Feirce Punch
D= Feirce Kick

TOP System
Instead of waiting for the character's life to build low for supers, players can now chose when to make the character go into the burst mode- during high life, medium life, or low life. While the burst takes place, the character can afflict more damage, and execute a special move known as the TOP move. In addition, the character's life slowly recovers during this TOP mode.

Guard System
The characters now have a guard meter.



Garou- Mark of the Wolves, is currently under beta testing in Osaka.
The Madman's Cafe will deleiver new on the game as soon as more is available.


On a side note, Terry no longer wears his hat, and he has his hair loosened up more.
