Namco announces Tekken 4, SoulCalibur, Ace Combat 4 - fixes income estimate

Through the Investors relations release dated 2/28, Namco has officially announced the production of Tekken 4, a "New" Soul Calibur, and Ace Combat 4 for the System 246; an arcade board based on the Playstation 2 architecture.

In addition, Namco's subsidiary "Monolith Soft" is currently in developent of an RPG. Namco also is considering on becoming third party members to Nintendo's Game Cube, and Microsoft's X-box as well.

Aside from video games, Namco also plans to begin development for Pachinko slot machines, with the use of "System 7" - a Sony Playstation compatible 3D board architectured for use on Pachinko slot machines.



However, due to the deficit caused by decrease in income though the amusement and home market for the fisical year of 2000, Namco will begin company restructure starting 4/1, one of which is the voluntary dismissal of a scheduled 250 employees. Namco's sales figures were previously estimated at 1,464,000,000 Yen, now down to 1,440,000,000 Yen.
