Those are mighty fearsome dragons, what with their big, dark eyes, their round, plump bodies, and the way they mewl and beg for a treat or simply to be cuddled. Still, the game does look like it's aiming for a more mature audience than what the GTA games are shooting for.

This is like a repeat of the old thread... they do get slightly more menacing-looking if you check out the screens. So, theoretically they could end up looking quite fierce after say, three or four transormations.
EDIT: Would be nice if that happened to the human characters, wouldn't it..
About the age target... that's a cheap shot at GTA. Although, I guess it does take a certain number of years for an individual to become 'tenderized' enough to say, fully enjoy this type of aesthetic. I won't go into depth on my theory, though.

Yeah, those dragons look more mammalian than reptilian. And for some odd reason -- if you've ever heard the English voice for Guilmon in 3rd season Digimon -- I keep expecting the dragon's voices (so to speak) to be like that.
So, this is going to be Monster Rancher with an emphasis on storyline and one main species? (EDIT: Er... wait -- which other creature raising games have more of an emphasis on storyline?)
On a side note -- the upbeat parts of the site BGM go really well with Oroch's avatar.

Yeah, that comment was inspired more by the idea that it was a boring Friday afternoon than any sort of ill feelings toward either of the games in question. I do, however, agree with you that there are people who can't really appreciate the presentation in a game like this until they are older. I don't know if it's a social thing -such as the teenage boy who would like to see a Disney movie but wouldn't feel comfortable going unless it was on a date or some other acceptable reason for him to go- or it's a matter of being comfortable enough with your own maturity and sense of self to be able to enjoy something like this without a sense of personal shame. While the cutesy-wutsey dragons are an easy target I must admit that the look of the animals properly fits the style of this sort of game. The more I look at this game the more I suspect it's going to be a big hit.

About the designs : The guy worked on Tengai Makyō 2 Manjimaru or "oreno shikabane wo koete yuke", if my memory serves me well (for the title). He sure likes long names. And he sure does big, big successful games.

Please go into detail on your theory if you don't mind

My mommy told me never to approach men who say "look at my dragon" on the street. I must be losing my street smarts.
