Interesting... interesting to know that if this goes through, that an Xbox live version in the US will happen.
But consider this: Sony has always been reluctant to release 2D games, including fighters, in the US. ALso consider how GGXXReload is only being released in the US on Xbox. So if the Xbox titles don't fare well in Japan (especially) or the US don't fare well, chances that future Xbox GG games will be released are slim. Couple this with Sony's 2D reluctance and it may be harder for GG games to be released stateside.

I never understood Sony being a bitch to 2D developers. Profits mean everything, if the game makes money, who cares what it looks like?

But this is only in America (and Europe?) where 2D games DON'T make big profits as a whole.

True, but I can't imagine that the fighters make any less of a profit than the other crap Sony does allow, like Barbie's adventure whatever, plus 2D games are probably relatively cheap to bring over, just translate some win quotes and endings, that is it.
I'm kinda lost. What's the difference between all of these diferent Guilty Gears? I've heard about some korean version, this Isuka crap and then about some GG XX#Reload Plus, or something...

Reload was a tweaking of X2, and it had a totally new revamped Robo-Ky with his own kind of story and moveset. The korean version of it had a totally new soundtrack set by the Korean Rock Band N.EX.T. Isuka is the four player dual plane ala FF Real Bout style party fighter. GGX Plus was basically GGX, except released in Japan with an animated intro,a story mode, powered up versions of Gold and Shadow color characters and the inclusion of Justice and Kliff undersn. That's about it, really just upgrades.

My inane review of GG Isuka: http://www.got-next.com/reviews/ps2/gg-isuka/
Korean version of GGXX#Reload just has an extra stage, different music, and different voices.

yeah sony's been a bitch to games like king of fighters, metal slug, or SNK vs Capcom. Games like Capcom vs SNK 2, and GG have made it because i guess they dont want 16 bit ports or something. Suprises me that shit like Mary Kate and Ashley get approved.
heres some random-ness: i really want a rumblefish port.

Fixed. I've listened to the Korean soundtrack a lot and I just don't understand why there was a need for it. It's not at all a bad soundtrack by any means, but the original music is a much, much better fit for the game.

Hey peoples,
i've already reserved it at eb games. I recently bought a gamecube with metroid in it, a used memory card and custom robo. I can't wait until guilty gear comes out for xbox. I also get a 20 dollar voucher for buying all that stuff, so i would get guilty gear for free for x box. I would probably wait until the price goes down to probably 19.99 or something, or trade some of the unplayed games that I bought for $4.99 at circuit city and get credit for them.
Cheers, sushi

Yeah, I know. It was referring to the change from Guilty Gear to X specificly, though they did add more sprites to the console port of Isuka than SNK adds to the new games of KOF and Capcom has made in five years, so I still think they're ahead.
I'm having a blast with Isuka on the PS2, but I don't think I'd ever play the thing on X-box live.. As a Baiken player, I rely too heavily on the dust button.
I hope when it does come out for X-box, they fix A.B.A's moves up. Does anyone else find some of them specifically hard to execute on the d-pad?

I can do her specials fine, but her overdrives are a matter of luck. For some reason they don't come out naturally for me on the pad. I think it would be worse on the xbox where the pad is stiffer and not as easy on the diagonals.
But that's what joysticks are for. :) I just bought Pelican Universal Real arcade stick. It supports ps2, xbox, and even xbox live. Very clicky and nice. No more problems with pulling off the moves. Though I'm sure there are even better sticks out there for people who want the best.
