From namaenonia Heya :
3 Bemani games will be released on PS2 the 18th of november.
◆Pop'n music 10

more than 100 songs, including some original for the home version. Anime and various thema songs : 14, the biggest number in the series so far.

"Ohoshisama ni onegai" has been arranged for the home version, it's easier to play.

First press will have an original entry card.

THEY WILL MAKE A POP'N CONTROLLER 2 !!! released the same day. If it is just a little less breakable than the first one, I might very much come back to the Pop'n series...

◆『DDR Festival Dance Dance Revolution』

60 songs. There will be some famous songs, plus more than 30 original ones.

Several minigames. Of course, the diet mode will be there

IT WILL USE THE EYE TOY CAMERA !!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!

◆『beatmaniaIIDX 8th Style』

return of famous artists, Togo chef, Sana, L.E.D., who will make new songs for the game.

Expert mode + internet ranking should be in the game.

First press will have an original entry card.

Well, I'm more than pleased by the Pop'n controller 2 and by the new DDR. Beatmania... well, it's Beatmania.

Perfect. I didn't want to waste $60+ on a rare PSone PnM controller when I already have one for Dreamcast. I hope this new controller will be a little cheaper.

I dunno if you can make a viable Pop'n controller that isn't a recreation of the arcade one...which would be quite expensive. (and Konami has already done that) I tried playing with the cheap one, and said "this is a joke", not only because it was NOTHING like the arcade and the buttons were crowded, but because it would break if you gave it a dirty look.

I keep buying every Pop'n Music game that comes out, but now I'm out of money and I need to finally get a REAL controller.

So soon?

I would like to be excited about the prospects of a new Pop'N controller, but I doubt it will be anything worth a damn [and affordable at the same time]...

Unfortunately, I think just like you; still, a cheap controller is better than no controller at all, or the extra expensive arcade one, or the extra expensive and crappy PS1 ones. Plus, even though they were crappy, the DC one I had worked just fine for me to begin with, and I liked him to death, like a happy tree friend.
Plus, the second generation of dance mat for DDR are absolutely great, better than the metal mat (and easier to put in a corner when you don't use them).

With a new DDR, my butt is sure to get me the votes of every gay man and yaoi fangirl of this forum.

There are always the homebrew pads, too... Which are kinda inbetween the ArcadeStyle Controller and the cheap-o mini thing... I mean, price-wise. $200. And they feel nice and are full scale with the proper buttons and layout...

So unless Konami does an arcade-sized controller for like, $100...

Rats.
