An OK issue with some great action. More dolls, "game of death" reference and one of the best looking backup stories so far.

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
The story starts off with Ryu and Adon having a fight in which Ryu wins, Adon tells Ryu about how Sagat is in India. The issue then goes to Cammy and her group and how Shadaloo are converging in Brazil. Dee Jay makes an apperance helping to bust out the one Doll who was captive. Hopefully "evil" Dee Jay isn't that way for too long. Then the issue goes over to Chun-li in Fei Long. The back up story is about Sagat and Adon after SF1. Its a nice story about how Sagat wants to regain his honor and Adon challenges him to a fight. The back up story is a lot better than the one from the last issue.

End of Spoiler

I noticed at the end of the issue that there were no cover previews for issue 10. Is there going to be another delay for the release?

Also what was in the Summer Special issue that was given out at SDCC?

Now by Cammy's group, you mean Delta Red,right? I haven't been keeping up with any SF issue so I'm lost on that one.

Due to Studio Udon having done the endings for CFJ, issue 10 will be delayed. Studio Udon announced Issue 10 would be delayed months ago due to their secret project, which turned out to be CFJ endings.

I agree... its an OK issue, but at this point the storyline seems be getting a little weak. Heck, when are we going to see some more Zangief action. I mean, I love Cammy and Chun (esp. Cammy), but SF wouldnt be SF without the Gief, the Dhals, and teh Blank'. But maybe they're reserved for another time.

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -

I did like the Chun/Fei fight ("You Triad BITCH!")... all that Cammy stuff with DR is cool. Evil DeeJay seems...wrong. Seing Jun (or Juli?) in the orange jumpsuit: awesome.

Also, I love the Cammy cover.

That was Satsuki in the prison fatigues. Juni hasn't appeared since her brief stint as a flight attendant in issue 3 and Juli still has yet to appear.

I'm sorry, Gekiganger, but did you just say Chun-Li _IN_ Fei Long? The other way I could've figured, but... Eh. ^_^;

Chun-Li is infinitely more manly than Fei Long. Use your imagination! The guy is so downtrodden that the PS version of SFZero3 never even picks his artwork for the loading screen. Clearly Chun-Li is in control....I have no doujinshi of this.

You might just be able to find some doujinshi of Cammy in Fei Long though.

I wanted to post on here for a while but I also wanted to read the comic before I did. All in all I like it but I have one major complaint and that is the covers. I thought these covers were the weakest in the series thus far. They already did Cammy too many times before. This issue was clearly for Adon and or Sagat at least one cove for them. Good issue but they drop the ball on the covers IMO.

Erik Ko said Issue 10 will be coming out in September, but I'm assuming it's late September.

Stefan already put his 'review' of issue 9.

I find it interesting that he makes fun of Chun Li's 'crotch shots' when the first two panty shots of the issue are from Delta Red personnel.

Also, he is already complaining about Cammy not being in CFJ. Of course, he argues that Cammy is popular enough to be in there since she got second in the poll, without saying HOW she got second in the poll.

Ah, I can't even go to Stefan's Website without entering blind rage...

In an Interview in this Month's Issue of Play Magazine, writer Ken Siu-Chong said they are going to do Vega's (Cape) Origin. This brings up so many questions. Will the two students he officially trained with turn out to be Urien and Gill like many people speculate? What will Vega's Master look like, the one he murdered? (In Hong Kong Comics he usually looks like a Blonde haired Vega with Vega's outfit only green.) How are they going to explain Rose's 'birth?' Well, it should be a fun ride nevertheless.

Ken Siu-Chong also said he wants to do a story in Metro City, but time will tell if/when this can be done.

They drop the ball on covers for nearly every issue. The fact that the cammy cover for this issue remotely had anything to do with the actual content inside is a mere coincidence. Typically, what's on the cover has nothing to do with the content inside.

And multiple covers? I thought they went out of style with the foil covers when the comic industry tanked.

Incidentally I have a mobile phone photo blog thing.

Although the covers are very well done. I too don't quite get all the random characters placed on them. But in the end I guess it's just a marketing ploy to get those who just see the covers to go "hey, those character were in SF2 maybe I should pick up this issue."

On the topic on comic covers. The Ultimate Marvel Universe is just as bad with the random characters on the covers. Every issue of the Venom arc had a more classic-looking Venom on it, while he looked differnt in the Ultimate universe and it gave to hint to the plot(which I thought was pretty good).

But the classic universe still has covers that imply what the general issue might be about and actually tempt me into buying the issue(Amazing Spider-Man 511 in particular).
