i'm stupid and i just started messing with specialists. can someone please reiterate what it states in this faq? the thing i'm most interested in is the following

Statistician - Increases Exp gained from enemies - Caps = 300%

this is probably self-explanatory, but does the percentage [300%] equal the number next to the specialist's name (in the game)?

and by caps, is that the "max" for a single piece of equipment, or the "max" a single character can have (all equipment combined)?

i've read and re-read through a couple of faqs. maybe i'm reading too fast but everything's vague when it comes to this thing. so thanks to whoever has the time to reply

i'm trying to pump up my posse because a red-headed girl keeps killing my friends. i tried stabbing her, but her super-awesome thighs just deflected it. then she responded by smearing my face on the wall. so you know, i gotta get my revenge

Yes.

It's the max that a single character can have.

that is all i needed. ty
time to abuse this

actually, i got another question. if i skip floors in the item world, will that affect how much the item's stats go up when it levels? i've heard talk of both sides on this. anyone certain of the answer?

It doesn't affect the stats when you skip floors, just make sure you kill the bosses(item general, item king, and item god), those affect item growth.

alright! thanks again! i'll just keep an eye on the bonuses and enemy equipment. oh ya i found this a couple of minutes ago that i thought was ~_~

There is a single caveat on the use of Mr. Gency's Exit: if you kill an
Item General or King, and choose 'No' when asked if you wish to return
to the castle, then use Mr. Gency's Exit, the game will not count your
Item General or King kill, and you won't get any of the power gain that
you would normally get from the kill.

more questions! (and a stupid story)

first, other than not being able to bring out (or put back in) party members, and having your party-in-waiting be slaughtered, do you suffer any penalties for destroying your base panel?

second,

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
is it worth transmigrating Prier, or am i just going to throw away a fuckload of levels and mana?

here's the story. i brought my party out for the plan, then i threw Prier onto my base panel to drain her mana and stop the bloodbath. i was kicking the crap out of her catgirl when i realized i could throw the energy-draining slut and Prier onto those mini islands for some cheap action

anyways, i saved on another slot just in case i fucked anything up. i'm thinking of redoing the level and throwing the two monsters on Prier so i can maybe get a level 5000 Prier out of this, but if she acts like any other character that joins your team (Flonne, Count Chocula, Captain of the Battlestar Galactica, etc), i'm thinking i'll just be wasting my time. but i dunno, i'm an idiot with nothing better to do. i might try it just to see what happens

End of Spoiler

No, I don't believe so... and yeah, I think it's a waste to transmigrate Priere, because it simply takes SO LONG to get her back up in to that level range... and lastly, combining the enemies with her probably won't work (if you're fighting her or Marjoly at higher levels via the "Stronger Enemies" bill, when you beat them their level is back to their "default" level, I.E. 2000 or 2500)

Just remember that once you're done with the story and starting on the side stuff, any transmigration is a waste of time. Levelled up items with masteries/monster level bonuses gives a lot more than the petty stat increases that transmigration can give you.

Transmigration is useful during the story mode because even small increases in stats are useful at that time, but after that the benefits are way too small for the effort needed.

i'm going to transmigrate the girl because i'm crazy. i'll look up how base stats work and do the math before i do so though. and i'll also try to kill that monster first. but i dunno. i think if i do it just right, i can get the girl as strong as she is now at only 1/3 or 1/2 of her original level

the combining enemies hit me at the last moment. because when you fight the

Captain of the Andromeda Ascendant and Robo,

bubblehead was doing crazy moves that it didn't have the mana to use when she/err,he joined you later. also, their equipment slightly changed

the idea came to me because i found a thread on DoubleJump Book's forums about using that strategy to steal a high-level Jingoro. but the people there are crazier than me. even though i'm using faqs and taking a lot of shortcuts, i still gotta say that a couple of the strategies that some of those people use really suck the fun out of the game

oh yeah, i'm still leveling up items like mad, but i only have the time to focus on only a few of my main party's equipment. i'm obsessed with transmigration because when i transmigrate someone as genius and shift the stats about right, i can get them back to a decent fighting level in about ten or twenty minutes. my low-level Saboten can strike down giants!

EDIT:
added italics several exclamation marks!
