I don't care for it, but since I think some people here love the series...
Sweeeeeeeeeeet... I'm not sure if I want to run the interview through Blargfish and read it... I'm a freak about SH, so I want to know as little as possible about the game before I play.
Two things, though... I want that rabbit figurine, and PLEASE tell me that energy bar's not forced on us... I want to be able to have it turned OFF. No HUD whatsoever. It ruins the immersion for me. It's fine if it's an OPTION, but I'd hate to find out that you can't turn it off.
All that aside, I can't wait for the game to come to the US. I hope the XBox version releases at the same time as the PS2 one. I don't think I'd be able to stand the wait for the other version to come out.

Sorry, the energy bar's there to stay.. I think it only appears when your being attacked though.
Here are some in game movies if your interested. I think it's the footage that was shown at E3. It shows 4 places:
Spoiler (Highlight to view) - The Forest outside Silent Hill, the Water Prison, inside Henry's apartment (must see Eileen scenes) and the Building
They all have spoilers, but the major ones are in the prison and forest.

Are you sure there's not a "bonus option" or anything that lets you turn that off? I really really really don't want an energy bar of any kind...
