Divx as in the disposable, 1-time viewing discs, or the video codec?

You're getting them confused. There are no dvd players who play the divx codec (which is entirely different from the divx format) unless you count a modded xbox as one.
Updated when I can... which isn't very often. ^_^;;

Actually there ARE hardware divx codec players now. They just aren't in American storeshelves and probably won't be anytime soon. You have to order one off the net from Europe.
Anyway, best place to look is Ebay. Just type in "divx player" and you will get plenty of results.
I can't testify as to the quality of any of them, I don't own one (yet). I need a new DVD player anyway though which these do play DVD's as well (along with mp3's and some jpeg's).
Also, apparently Philips has a new player out, and since they are more well known than a company like Kiss, they might be worth checking out. From reading a posting on a messageboard, the guy got it from Wal-Mart too, so they may be in America after all.
Here it is at Best Buy for 69. From what I read it does a decent job for being under 70. Hmm maybe I will get one this weekend #_#

Really? How very odd. I need a new dvd player too, but I think I'll be cheap and just use my xbox for that service. I don't mind playing fansubs on my computer.
