Yea, I know western FPS talk isn't the norm around here, but has anyone tried it?
It's like Serious Sam with some more modern details in the graphics department, and a bunch of clever and even surprising weapons mixed into the traditional favourites of shotgun/rocket/minigun.
I just wish that there were fewer broad platforms to circle around on and more lethality in the enemies (not counting the very hard difficulty settings)...
Shikigami no Shiro 2 it isn't, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun :)

I played the demo. I liked it, nice old school FPS feeling to it. Gotta love that stake-gun too.

I tried the demo over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The weapons are really brutal and uniquely mechanical, and the physics engine lets them do really nasty things to the baddies (ramming a stake/javelin through a zombie and nailing it to the wall = yussssss; the energy the stakes pick up after they travel 50 yards or so making zombies explode = cacklecackle). I thought the art design was great overall as well. And of course, it's from the more arcade-ish school of FPS design, which I love. The game's serving to remind me that my PC needs a bit of an upgrade, but I think I'd like to pick up the full game when I've got more time.
