I am beginning to wonder why whenever old sprites are put on new hardware in the case of the Naomi or Arc System Work's board, they have not bothered using interpolation. I mean sure they can do 640X480 backgrounds, but perhaps a little graphic filtering on those damn 8 yo sprites would get rid of the pixelation, can anyone else make sense of their bizarre practices?

Using any filters on dot art will only make it more ugly than before.

That looks nicer than scale2x, but the color depth is increased as opposed to using the same colors throughout.

Yeah, I never use any sort of interpolation with the emulators, they make the sprites uglier. However, this HQ2X engine looks rather good.

This filter looks badass.

Is there anyway to install it into emulators that support such filters?

No thanks. I rather see pixelation than something that looks like a flash animation from new grounds.

Completely agree, I second that question.

Oboromaru. Yup seems they're all "one-eyed" masked guys now. Just coincidence.

If you have the source, are the author, or the emulator supports some kind of plug-in.

Edit: my post count got fixed on this post. :/

Exactly.

Worst of all? Seeing reviews talken from emulators... using filters. God, it looks awful.
