... and it seems to be different from the N-Gage almost along the same lines that the Intellivision II was different from the Intellivision. We'll see in a few days (April 14, supposedly) what other differences besides a camera it might have.
I won't sign that. The N-Gage will be foreward compatible with the N-Gage 2. Nokia releases new versions of phones all the freaking time. They have 40 different phones coming out this year.
Do people complain that they bought a $300 Nokia phone, and then a few months later there's an upgraded model? It's just how the company works!
Fools should do some research before they buy stuff, that's what I say.

That petition is freaking masochistic... please keep inflicting awful, terrible games upon me and forever doom me to the social hell of sidetalkin'!
Please! Give it to me sideways! Oh Nokia! Just! like! that!!!!
...
I'm sticking to Nintendo and/or Sony for my handheld gaming needs for the time being. Still think Pocket Kingdom looks like a pretty cool game, though.

What's really funny about the NG2 is even if they design a perfect handheld with all the features people want that work right this time and even sell it at a great price, the N-Gage name is so cursed no one will still buy it. They really should start from scratch... heck, they should create a company to make it to distance it from Nokia as much as possible.

well I don't think anybody dislikes nokia for the N-Gage. They still have like 40% of the phone market in europe and the coasts of the US...
I think the main thing they want to do is say "our phone plays games." But they're going at it from the wrong direction. They should work towards what's going on in japan, what with the network consolidation and ntt dokomo and crap. But then if the network consolidates, then prices will skyrocket. hmmm.

It seems to me the problem with the NG1 and even more so with the NG2 is it wants to be both a game system AND a phone and both suffer greatly because of it.
Nokia needs to decide "okay this is _____ first and a _____ second" and design to that.
If it's a game system make the button layout nicers and just put a smaller phone keypad on the back or something... if it's a phone make it a damn clamshell like the GBASP so you don't look retarded talking into a GameGear's cartridge port.
..... I like how unregistered users are refered to as "Hecklers" on the N-Gage site.
