Ended around two years ago. They could cover the upcoming "event" mentioned in the last episode, giving the saga a definite closure... or they can screw it, of course.

I love the X-files... I wish I had enough money to afford the DVDs of all seasons. I will admit that towards the end, I got a little disappointed. I think the series could have gone on a little more and built up more closure. And Robert Patrick and the other girl could have made suitable substitutes for Duchovny and Anderson.
Picked up the new X-Files survivor horror game today, but I probably won't be able to play it for a while due to school stuff.

Its a shame they killed off the cigarette smoking man in the last ep. He didn't even get a good farewell offing either. They should of saved it for the film.

I have the game, its not bad. Mainly a combination of Resident Evil and Silent Hill (tho it borrows more from silent hill.)
Some things that might annoy you are some camera angles and the fact that it has not much replay value, but at least Mulder's and Skully's games are pretty different from each other. Oh and it has quite a bit of extra features.
Not a bad purchase for 29 bucks.

Don't you know that in the X-files universe, no one ever really dies? Besides, Cigarette-Smoking Man is a badass character in his own right, the X-files very own Geese Howard.

Well, with his last episode death it was VERY clear that he died... unless it was a clone or something cheesy as that :P
He can always get a flashback scene in the movie (or then again, a clone, hee).
I want more Patrick, he was my favorite character in the series.
