Iggy: damn your right! Well I should find an other way...did you think that carrier pigeons would work??
Beto: excuse be but twin are peoples who looks similar, or those to doesn't look similar, so I didn't see the point of making them twins, brother would be enought. as for the "wait maybe their moves will be similar" I don't call that twins, but Shoto-syndrome.
Toxico: It's already done...
Time mage: you're not totaly right, (but surely not wrong) as I already says it's the 3D fireball game where I got some problem. the "realistic" 3D vs game like Tekken or VF4 are really good. I'ts not that I hate 3D, it's that I didn't see the point of make a 3D for a 2D gameplay. as I've said, I don't see the interest of making 3D if it's not for taking advandages of the 3D like free movement or such, but if we use such thing as free movement, all Fireball and special moves will turn useless since them will miss most of the time and air play are so for inexistant in 3D VS games. finaly if they wish a 2D gameplay why not making the game in 2D?? They've already tryie to make the 3D with 2D gameplay, but IMO game like rival school are 100 miles away from a true 2D gameplay. As a special note I won't see the point to make a KOF game if it's so different from the original KOF game, and it's not a Fanboy who doesn't want thing to changes, but a fanboy who doesn't want thing to go worst...

Children born at the same time don't always have identical faces. I forget what it's called, but identical isn't the only kind of twins. I knew twin sisters who looked nothing alike... and then I knew twin brother and sister who looked way too much alike. -_-;;;
For your other comments, Project Justice has both fireballs and sidestepping. It does make the former a little harder to use, but that just means you got to play better. If this game is as good as Project Justice, which is by no means the best 3D fighter, I'll be quite happy.

Identical twins are monozygotic twins, that is, twins born from one spermatozoon that fertilized one ovule, and the zygote resultant splitted in two in the earlier part of the embrionary development, thus having two children with the same genetic information, thus identical at birth. Of course, over the years their aspect can vary... scars, different weight, hairstyle, etc... Also note that identical twins have always the same sex.
Non-identical twins occur when there is more than one ovule ready to be fertilized, and each one is fertilized by different spermatozoons. Then you can have two (or more) children at birth, but they will be only as similar as brothers are, and they also can have different sex.

So, all 3D games have to play the same?
Give me a break.
It´s up to the team designing to choose how it´ll play, and also the issue of going 3D or 2D.
If they want to make the camera go wild in replay, why not go 3D? If they want to go "sidesteps vs fireballs", why not go 3D? If they want to have a game released in PS2 in US, why not go 3D? If they want more exposure for KOF before they release their Atomiswave titles, why not go 3D?
Just because you "can´t see the point" doesn´t mean other people can´t.

Well, you've got to understand- to a lot of people, seeing your favorite fighter go 3D is like seeing your favorite band sell out. A lot of these games that are going 3D are doing so just for the sake of making it 3D (you know, that "2D IS TEH SUX0R 3D IS NEW AND MUCH BETAR!!!!!!!!!!!!" kind of mentality). The 2D versions were so good, so why throw that away and make them 3D?
This KOF Maximum Impact thing doesn't seem like a bad thing, though. I haven't seen the screen shots yet (this computer I'm using is so out of date I can barely search the web), but it seems like this one's just going to be like a side game or something instead of the direction that the rest of the series will take. If it was called KoF2004, I'd be pissed too. If they stay with the 2D games for the "real" series and maybe make a 3D side game every once in a while, then I don't think it will be any big deal. This is also one of those cases where I wasn't too attached to the 2D graphics in the first place. I've NEVER much cared for the style of KOF's graphics (the colors and shading are ugly... I've wished they'd adopt Samurai Shodown or Last Blade's graphic style for a long time now...), although the animation is still very good. So, I'm not really against Maximum Impact as an idea, just as long as they don't say that they're totally ditching 2D for future KoF games.

I kind of see his point, though. At least, I can see it after I perform a semi-accurate Naruto-to-Logical-English translation. On the one hand, most 3D games that try to emulate 2D moves and gameplay haven't been very good. On the other, if the game isn't going to emulate 2D moves and gameplay... why call it KOF? Why use characters that have a bunch of 2D signature moves?
I'm not saying that the game will suck, but it has a lot going against it. Like a sequel to a movie that has a definitive ending. Yes, it can be done, and it can be done well, but that last part is pretty unlikely.
And for some reason, I can't help but think of Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi when I look at those screenshots. It's all very pretty and high res and all, but there's just something so... PSOne... about the screenshots. Hopefully it will look a lot better in motion.

I've got a feeling you'll really be sold on this game after that, especially by the new buxom female, though oddly it was Ralf that sold me (though I saw him before I saw Yuri). Just seeing that maniac come out so well in 3D impressed me somehow. Makes the game look fun to play.
Yeah, I saw those screens the other day and they've got me interested. Like I said, I've got nothing against THIS game being in 3D (or even if they make a sequel or two), just as long as they don't decide to make ALL KoF games in 3D
I've got an idea for a picture of Lien and Ashley after seeing that picture posted on the picboard. I just need to sit down and draw it.
EDIT: Speaking of maniacs in 3D, I'd really like to see Yamazaki make it into this game. I'd DEFINITELY give it a try.
quote: I've slowly warmed up to his design but I'mgoing to wind up a little peeved if the AMERICAN programming company doesn't have a black character.
Just as long as it's not Lucky Glauber. He sucks. Heavy D! or Seth are a much better choice if they're looking for a black character to put in the game. Or, if they decide to design a new one, I'd like to see a character sort of like Birdie show up... You've got to love his chain throws.
Anyway, is the game being programmed by an American company, or is it being developed and made by an American company? If it's just being put together and not planned out by an American company, then I doubt they'll have anything to do with character selection or design.

quote: If you go only for how "silly" a character is, you´ll never enjoy Choi or Chang...
Well, that's not the reason. There's "silly good" and "silly bad"... Choi and Lucky are the bad kind of silly. Yes, yes, in my opinion... I know there are people out there that like both of them. Personally, I reeeeeaaally hate Choi... he's an aggravating little ankle biter, and his "funny poses and moves" aren't funny to me. I like Chang, though. He's fun to use, and I kind of like his design, and he does make me laugh. Choi's just a little ankle-biting Freddy Krueger midget. I can't stand him. He's like a bug.
Lucky's not really irritating at all, but I thought a character in a regular fighting game that's the only one with "sports moves" just comes off as a bad idea. I don't like Brian Battler for pretty much the same reason. At least he doesn't throw footballs at you (at least, I don't remember him throwing any). Characters like Natsu and Shoma (I think that's his name) and any of the other sports-based characters in Rival Schools don't come off as ridiculous because the game's already over the top anyway, plus, it's got the whole school theme to the game, so they work. I don't know. You know what I'm getting at.
