I came out yesterday as I'm sure everyone knows and I was wondering if anyone has broken it in yet.

I have it, but haven't really had time to play it much. The game has a VERY STEEP learning curve. The online part of the game is NOTHING like you've ever seen before. Imagine a cat & mouse game online, with all the real tension of being a spy that sneaks around & breaks in, while the other side is on a constant hunt for the enemy, always knowing they can be attacked from the darkness.

If you are not sure about a game that really, really emphasizes stealth ( in a way, MGS' emphasis was more exciting, SC2 really pushes the patience/stealth thing to the hilt ), you may want to rent the game. The local Blockbusters ( US Video rental places ) have plenty of copies, but if you think you want to try something different, get this game.

Gaming Target review of multiplayer

If you want to read some 'in action' review of the game.

Damnit, I really want to try the online mode, but my video card just died and won't be able to get one until later this week.

Did you know Splinter Cell 2 does not suport GeForce MX cards? I didn't but know I'm getting a Radeon instead, based on price and being able to work with Splinter Cell.

The original didn't support GF4MX either, since it's basically a GF2 card and lacks support for all those lovely pixel shaders SC so effectively uses. More and more games ditch the MX cards, just because of the lack of support for said effects.
