woo-hoo!
Thanks for the link! (I was trying to figure out why the header for the first post in the thread would start with "Re:") : )
Wow. I'm getting out of work 4 hours early today, we've got an hour-and-a-half lunch, I've got a brand spanking new copy of CAPCOM's "Monster Hunter" waiting for me at home, and now you tell me that there's going to be a brand new Cutey Honey anime series? Could this day get any better?
A pity it seems to be slated for only 3 episodes, but perhaps this will make for a more focused, tightly-written storyline. The "Story" summary on the site's Introduction page makes it sound as if the new anime will stick a little closer to the source material than Cutey Honey F did (although I liked that series, too).
EDIT: Re:CH is firmly based on the live-action film's re-interpretation of Cutey Honey (rather than high school students, Honey is an OL while Natsuko is a police detective; Panther Claw is a terrorist organization, rather than a criminal organization; etc.). In the previous paragraph, I was referring to the new film/anime returning to the "Honey is an android" concept, as opposed to the less-than-mechanical nature she possessed in Cutey Honey Flash.
Anything that'll get us more character designs from Hiramatsu Tadashi (damn, but I loved Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai) gets a thumbs up from me. Really happy with the costume designs I'm seeing on the Re: Cutey Honey site -- especially the outfit on the Report page.
