... and it's a wow. But the absence of two-player severely disturbs me. That and the almost outrageous firepower that your bombs pack.
The Dreamcast seems like a Sega Saturn 2: lots of great action games, many released after the console's "death", and basically niche in north america.

Psyvariar 2 is superb - but you cant blame the lack of 2 player mode. Psyvariar can only work in 2 player mode if you are both using shot type crafts and playstyle, for buzz type technique having a 2nd player on screen makes play absolute hell.
The setups for buzz chains now have to be spot on, enemies that shoot directly at the player for certain attacks will be disrupted by a 2nd player. Even with 2 expert players, Psyvariar does not work in 2 player mode, unless both are following the same plan through the stage - but then even that's problematic due to the fact that when you level up your craft can destroy shots, meaning there are less shots to work with if 2 crafts are levelling together in the same area.
There's another Psyvariar site coming up - www.psyvariar.co.uk as well as this wicked site

I actually imagined that it'd be harder if both players were shot type, because after one player blows something up, it's not there for the other player to blow up...
Certainly the way the enemy waves were designed is not conducive to two player play... but for the sake of just playing with another player, I'd love to have it in. Now if there was an alternate level set for two player mode...
