(bad picture above, but hey it's no worse then early movelist scans, so we'll live!)
Brown Wolverine, Phoneix, Deadpool, Juggernaut, Movie Punisher, and Cable.
Being that I only collect the X-Men figures, that's 3 I need (sorry Brown Wolvie)
I wonder who DOOP comes with...
I want Phoenix and Brown Wovie, as well as Cable. I need a Marvel Legends CYCLOPS!!!!!

Thanks Doc baggy, I would be happy to do so, but the problem is, that I can't send money to the USA without having to pay at least 60 dollars for sending the money.
I've made a couple of deals with JJJ, but they fell apart due to the fact that I can't send the money, now I owe him like 100 dollars

Hopefully, if he is a reused Hulk, he's the Hulk Classics one... that one is MUCH better then the ML one.
quote: Deadpool looks like a repainted Spidey (or Daredevil)
It probably is, but if they made him a new sculpt they'd sell a lot more... 90% of all customizers have a Deadpool made from one of those
quote: I hope the shoulderpads on Cable are removable, and I also hope he comes with an assload of huge ass weapons.
I'm wondering who they used as his base or if he's original, he looks like he might be Thor/Colosus... whatever he is, I agree he needs huge ass weapons... they should just give him one or two giant guns instead of a base.
quote: Phoenix seems to be a repainted Rogue/Elektra.
Unfortunately that's probably the case... I hate Elektra's hips. They should have made her more along the lines of the ML3 Wolverine... ball joints inside a sculpted hip. It doesn't make sense or look good to have her ass rotate with the leg >_<
quote: The movie Punisher looks... uninteresting.
Agreed... what's sad is he's better then Movie Daredevil.... but since most people will say "I already have a Punisher... why do I need this one?" or maybe "I didn't like that movie" he'll be a peg-warmer just the same.
quote: And lastly, Brown Wolvie seems to have Elektra's base (and it seems that Juggie also has Hulk's base...).
But Wolvie looks to have a new torso at least... maybe even a new head.
I don't mind the reused bases, especially if they fit the character (I just hope it isn't reissued a third time when they make Psylocke.)
quote: Oh, and I meant to say that I haven't seen Wave IV around here (just the Urban and X-Men Legends packs, not individually) on my last post.
You should get the X-Men if you haven't yet, Unmasked Wolvie, Gambit and Beast's new coats, and Rogue make the price point passable even if there are no bases... the Urban Legends set isn't so nice, but I got it for the Daredevil (really nice paint ops!) and Custom Fodder.

What's wrong with ML Hulk? I think it's the best Hulk so far... wait, I haven't seen the Classics Hulk, maybe you're right.
quote: It probably is, but if they made him a new sculpt they'd sell a lot more... 90% of all customizers have a Deadpool made from one of those
Funny, I was thinking in customs when I saw the pic, I hope they add lots of weapons for it (Is he getting Doop instead of a base?)
quote: I'm wondering who they used as his base or if he's original, he looks like he might be Thor/Colosus... whatever he is, I agree he needs huge ass weapons... they should just give him one or two giant guns instead of a base.
Maybe he's original, since Thor's bulk is simulated (unless there's an sculpted torso below his clothes). And yeah, I can't think of an appropiate base for him (unless they use a part of Graymalkin), weapons are the way to go. Speaking of Nathan, do you think they will release a variant with his artificial skin tore off?
quote: Unfortunately that's probably the case... I hate Elektra's hips. They should have made her more along the lines of the ML3 Wolverine... ball joints inside a sculpted hip. It doesn't make sense or look good to have her ass rotate with the leg
Yes, the articulation on the females is pretty bizarre, I don't like them.

The thing is, that I have two Magnetos already, and those boxed sets are a bit pricey (I don't know how much do they cost over there, but here they are around 40-50 dollars each). I've mailed Mattel, asking if they will bring them individually.

the key part there being "so far"... Classic's Savage Hulk takes ML Hulk and updates him with new joints, more mass, and in my opinion a better color of paint.
...and I guess Hulk's comestic upgrade made Cap'n American and Iron Man jeolous, check out who's back in ML8. (Although Toad is the one who really needs a redo)
UPDATE! Toy-Biz is gonna be PISSED at a lot of people, seems ML6,7, AND 8's line-ups have been leaked!
http://www.figures.com/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=fignews2.setup&category=actionfigures&topic=51&show_article=215
ML6=listed above
ML7=Hawkeye, War Machine, Apocalpse, Ghostrider Johnny Blaze, Vision, Weapon X Wolvie
ML8= Cap'n America, MOD Iron Man, Doc Oc, Man-Thing, Storm, Ice Man
This list is nearly identical to the one you posted earlier, Onslaught, isn't it?
I assume this means we'll be seeing a Fanastic Four (naturally) and Sinester 6 (surprisingly!) box sets soon.

Exactly. Like I've said the SOTA SF thread, I don't collect action figures, even though I really like the He-Man, ML and LoTR lines. But for SF, I will be push aside my precioussssssssssssss TFs and make room for them.
I CAN'T WAIT for the SOTA figures.
But hey, I've been following this thread 'covertly'.
I do wish that there were more Marvel Select figures. The Marvel Select Captain America is awesome. But I guess Marvel Legends is nearly the same as Marvel Select. Where there other Marvel Select figures?
And if anyone else has more SOTA SF info, SHARE IT! I hope the next Toyfair issue has SOTA SF pics.

| "This just in from 'ToyFare'" , posted Wed 11 Feb 13:40
ToyFare has a lovely 2 page spread of ML6 (and a first look at 'the Batman' Batman and Joker figures, and a Teen Titan toy preview, and a Marvel Mini-Mate price guide, AND a look at the DC mini-mates... basically go buy it, it's great!)
Here's some information I gleened from it (I'll scan the pages if anyone wants to see them and can't get a copy of the magazine):
Brown Wolverine -new torso and head -base has Ogun sculpted to it
Cable -Magneto (single card) headed -There maybe some reuse (I can't see it), but arms are new. -Has a gun that turns into a hover bike as base (or so says the magazine) -shoulder pads are removeable
Phoenix -same ugly ass (literally, it's just a retarded joint desing) ML female body as Rogue and Elektra -Head sculpt is better then Elektra/Rogue's at least -CHASE >_<
Juggernaut: -Looks like... a movie Hulk? (I saw a custom Juggernaut that looked EXACTLY like that made from a Movie Hulk... but even if that is the case the leg is ball-jointed instead of "hinged") -base is supposed to be a jailcell smashed open, but is not shown.
Deadpool: -Daredevil repaint, plain and simple -looks to come with Punisher's guns and Elektra's swords, maybe more if some of the add-ons to the body are removable. -DOOP
Movie Punisher -Coat looks more detailed then normal... hopefully it's a better quality then the other pleather coats and fits. -the picture has nice 'stubble' effect... hopefully the final toy does too and doesn't look like "hobo Strider" from the early LotR waves.

Brown Wolvie looks awesome, i like him way better than the one in series 3. For some reason i didnt like serie's 3 wolvie's face, especially the eyes, guess im used to him having white eyes when he wears his mask. Awesome cable figure too.

http://www.action-figure.com/Article11024.html
It's US Toy Fair time!
No pictures in that article, but it does have the figures for the two upcoming box sets:
Fantastic Four: redecos of Mr.Fantasic, Dr.Doom, Human Tourch, and the Thing... exclusive visible Invisible Woman, Franklin, and Herbie the Robot (I assume the last two are one the level of Howard the Duck, but that's still pretty nice).... I don't like the FF so I won't be getting this, but it's a darn nice sounding set.
Spider-Man: an unknown Spider-man (a SM2 46 PoA redeco would be nice, but I'm sure he's just another Parachute), Kraven, Electro, Venom (hopefully the Sabretooth body and not the SMC one), Green Goblin (hopefull as nice looking as the Marvel Select one), and Black Cat (for the love of Christ I hope she's a new sculpt >_< the Elektra body is terribly awful).... I'll be picking this up for custom fodder!
Also look forward to Ultimate Rhino, another Lizard, and Scorpion as the villians in the next 3 waves of Spider-man Classics after the Carnage Wave

And a Bump to this awesome thread.
The Good:
Apocalypse: He looks bulky, just as in the comics. He's a bit too robotic, but that's pasable.
Classic Ghost Rider: Looks good overall, nice design on the fire.
Hawkeye: this one looks great, plus, he has a little Antman in one of his arrows! Just like that classic Avengers cover.
Vision: He's a bit plain, but his design was always a bit plain to me, so, I think we have a good representation of the character.
Weapon X: Surprisingly good,I thought he was going to end being a repainted Wolvie, but it seems to be a brand new sculpt. Too bad he's not comic accurate (if you know what I mean)
Ultimate Captain America: WOW, just WOW! This one was ripped straight from a page of the Ultimates comic. Perfect design.
Modern Ironman: Looks like modern Ironman indeed, but I hope they add a metallic touch to his paint job, he looks a bit too plastic (I know he's made off plastic, but you know what I mean)
Man Thing: Excellent surprise, looks like a solid figure, with excelent sculpt, articulation and scale.
Cable: This shows what a good repaint can do for a figure. On a side you have the classic Rob Liefeld Cable, but a simple paint scheme turns him into a more modern Cable, brilliant! And that gun of him is indeed Big Ass! Now I want my Stryfe to start my "X-Cutioner's Song" diorama.
Deadpool: This is another example of a good repaint, he looks great, even if we've seen that body a million of times already. Plus, he comes with DOOP!
Juggernaut: Delicious figure, I can't wait to have it on my hands.
Brown Wolvie: To my surprise, it looks rather good, I hope he comes with those "claw protectors", because his claws tend to bend uite easily.
The Bad: Iceman: damn, a repainted Spidey? and look at his hands, they're even in the webshooting pose...
Green Goblin: What a BIG dissapointment, it is just a repainted Hobgoblin! I was hoping for a Green Goblin from the Marvel Select line, just with more articulation, like what happened to Wolvie from his Evolution of X persona...
And the rest:
Everyone else: They're too generic, uninteresting or I already have them (like some of the Fantastic Four and Spidey packs)

I'm just going to comment on all of them.
Apocalypse: He looks good, the metal paint is a nice touch I think. (I'm just hoping he's not too short.)
Classic Ghost Rider: I like the bike a lot, even though I don't care much for Ghost Rider I'll probably get him just so he, ML3 Ghoster Rider, Blade, and VHD can look all Badass together on my shelf.
Hawkeye: Has anyone ever read the little "Marvel Bull-Pen Bits" mini-comics? They released a full-size issue of it called "Spidey and the Mini-Marvels"? Admitily his being the butt of many jokes in that is the only way I know of Hawkeye ^__^'
Iron Man?: I thought War Machine was supposed to be in one series... is the version of War Machine I'm not familiar with or is it actually the "bullet head" head and silver Iron Man I don't like.
Vision: vaguely familar with him, and for being such a basic looking character, he's not bad... I recall reading somewhere he's a rebulit Android 'Human Torch', I wonder if he's a reuse Torch body because of thar.
Weapon X: For someone who will have like 10 6in. Batmans on his display shelf by years end this sounds hypocritical, but: Shouldn't they slow down with the Wolverines? It's been at least 7 this year already counting X2 figures and wind-ups, I mean save a little for next year! That being said, he's a great looking figure (although the box on his crotch his odd), the base is really fitting and looks great too.
Black Widow: Who or what is Black Widow? Not being mean, I've just no clue... if I WAS being mean I'd say "I hope Steve Kiwiks [I believe that's how it's spelled] dies a painful death and burns in Hell for creating those shitty 'Kiwiks-joint' hips" standing perfectly still and adjusted right an ML female looks okay (although the heads are crap) which brings to question: if they only look good unposed, why bother making super-posable females?
Doc Oc: Meh, and using jointed tenticals instead of bendy ones is dumb!
Ultimate Cap'n America: He appears to be a 2-up and the final, but I love the attention to detail in his armor (it's still chain mail right? not a scaly shirt or something?) I don't like the Ultimate Marvel books, but he's still real nice.
Ice Man: He looks like 12 (er, the SF3 character, not 12 years old) to me... I don't like the head... but maybe just maybe, this is a super earlier prototype! and he's just kept the Spidey hands and got a Daredevil (I think) head as place holder? I hope... I saw a customizer make the same base for their ice man as well, still a good idea though.
Modern Iron Man: I'm happy to see this figure, right now I'm working on making each Mattel Batman figure super poseable and needed a robotic base for Mr.Freeze... this puppy will do wonders!
Man-Thing: If I collected He-Man figures I'd buy him fill in for Moss Man, if I had the Howard the Duck figure that comes with Silver Surfer I'd buy him so I can work the pharse "Giant Sized Man-Thing" (the comic in which howard made his debue!) into more conversations.... but since neither applies to me I might just buy him because he's kinda cool looking.
Storm: Love the base it's so in character and very dynamic... the shoulder pads his the ugly Eletra shoulder-balls and since she's floating she has excuse to have her legs in a statue like pose... I like her and she's the only ML female besides Rogue I actually want to own. (Phoenix, and her boyfriend at that, are just requirements since I collect X-Men)
BlackCat: In a purrrrfect world, she'd be the purrrrrfect fodder (HA! puns!) for a modern age Catwoman who could be used to take various HILLARIOUSLY distrubing pictures with my custom poseable Batman... but in this real world the Elektra body is worthless! It's ironic Daredevil's body is one of the best male bases they have but Elektra's is the worse (and only) female one.
Cable: Really nice, what else can ya say. (I personally will be displaying the 'bike' as a gun... he'd look like a kid on the dime-opperated pony in front of Safeway sitting on that thing)
Box Set Doc Oc: OH WAIT! This isn't the ML Doc Oc with a lab coat... it's the SMC Doc Oc who isn't a very good figure! LAME!
Deadpool and Doop: Not bad, although I don't really know either character... I wonder if the black things holding them up are the so called "action bases" they come with? if so, that's going to open DP up to a much greater level of poses since gravity/keeping one foot on a peg no longer matters, and that's going to be a cool thing.
Doom: I just noticed he has a "D" base instead of a "4" base, nice. Still if I want a Doom I'll buy the ML2 one, I don't like the Fanstatic Four at all.
Electro: the good thing about Marvel's designs pretty much all being guys in tights and Toy-Biz having the DD/parachute Spidey body is they can bang out tons of exclusives of villians like this people probably wouldn't buy on their own buy sculpting nothing more then a head and swaping the paint in the machine... that deserves some kind of praise, which I guess I gave them.
Fantastic Four set: I still wish Ivisible Woman had been released like that on her own and this one was a clear variant, I also would have liked Trenchcoat thing to have been in the set and Doom to have a scarred up face, but what ya gonna do? I still don't like them though
Mr.Fantastic: he's fantastic is right, he's a Fantastic-al JERK! Lab coat the ball are nice touch I guess, still at this point and time a FF box set is useless there's no reason Sue wouldn't sell on her own if Black Widow can.
Franklin N' Herbie: I'm glad Jesse Falcon got his way to start making side-kicks, I can see people wanting to have these two around but they're obviously not stand alone material.
Green Goblin: Well at least he's finally got an ML figure, I'll be getting the MS one though, thanks!
Hulk line: "the worst thing is... I like it" I want that Robot Hulk dammit!! He's so f'ing awesome!
Invisible Woman: Seriously Toy-Biz, stop using the Elektra body while you still can!!! Go buy SOTA's Lara Croft or Chun-Li and see how a good female hip-joint looks... I don't like Sue's hair, but the face is nice! that at least makes her better then the other females.
Juggernaught: Oh! there's his base behind him!... He doesn't look like Hulk in this picture, but he does look stupendous!
Kraven: He looks so silly >_< Those pants and the shirtless vest make him look like a gay disco dancer more then a deadly hunter.
Phoneix: At least she's not the Chase... I like her eye pose, looks like even she knows she looks ridiculous
Movie Punisher: Lots of guns, if I had a regular Punisher and was going to get Deadpool I'd buy two of this figure as sort of a weapons pack.
Spider-man: WOW! You never seen enough Spider-man figures! (which one is he?)
Spider-man Box Set: Does the sinester six change members? I seem to recall Vulture being in there, but I could be wrong... 7 figures=small fortune.
Thing and Torch: the new heads aren't enough to make them worth buying twice
Venom: Sabretooth body makes a very good Venom I think
Brown Wolverine: I said everything I could about him already.
This picture is unusally orange no?

There are plenty of possibilites for them to whore out Wolverine figures though . Let's see there is the first New X-Men redesign, the outfit he shared in evo/ultimate/and has now, the first evo costume, the first ultimate costume, Age of Apocalypse, the jeans/ cowboy hat look he was w/motorcycle, perhaps they could fit in a couple from Origin, or maybe when The End mini-series finishes they can make one for that old wolverine. Have they done bone claw Wolverine yet? They could just take the original Wolverine figure and change the claws to a bonish color.

He's Ironman from the Armor Wars saga. At some point all of his technology was sold to his enemies, and everyone had super armors, that's when he developed that type of armor. War Machine would have been better than this version

I was hoping for a Doombot myself, since I have the Dr. Doom from series II. Did you notice that his legs are a bit spreaded? The original figure had a T-Crotch, maybe they reworked his articulations.

I know there's a lot of Wolverines (New Wolverine already has a figure this year, he's called "Sentinal Attack Wolverine" and is in the classics line)
quote: Former USSR spy now good guy I believe.
Thanks
quote: He's Ironman from the Armor Wars saga. At some point all of his technology was sold to his enemies, and everyone had super armors, that's when he developed that type of armor. War Machine would have been better than this version
Ah, well it's good to know the origin of it (and looking back at the old list that WAS supposed to be War machine, dammit!)
quote: Yes, he has the body of the original Human Torch, but I doubt this figure has the same body. I think it has Gambit's body.
thanks for clearing that up (and Gambits got better posilbity, so I guess that's for the best)
quote: I was hoping for a Doombot myself, since I have the Dr. Doom from series II. Did you notice that his legs are a bit spreaded? The original figure had a T-Crotch, maybe they reworked his articulations.
A Doom-bot would have been great, even better they should have included Doom (for those who missed him and haven't noticed he's still at most K-Marts) AND A Doom-Bot... if they can make a 9 figure LotR set they can make a 6 figure FF set
quote: Yes, Mecha Hulk looks great, but maybe that's just because I dig robotic skull faces
I think that's why I like him too.
quote: Look at his base, it's the Hulk one, just with added prison bars. I'm not complaining, just pointing out.
You're right, I'm actually impressed they added the bars instead of being all "hey, we repainted now deal!"
quote: I have the Terminator 3 Arnie figure, the one with the coffin full of weapons. I had like5 weapons in it, and the rest were glued, so I took the out, and now I have a full arsenal for my Punisher.
That's a good idea... apparently Plan-B sells a set of 6in. weapons perfect for Punisher, but I've NEVER seen them (only their 3.5in packs, their 12in. packs, and Firefighter figures.)
quote: There is a more modern version of the Sinister 6, this is it.
I didn't know there was a new one (-___- I was looking forward to Vulture and Mysterio figures actually)
I'm happy there are people here to inform me on Marvel comics, if there's ever a topic about Batman, I'll try to be just as helpful!
quote: And this Venom looks like the Todd McFarlane version.
So he would go good with the MacFarlane Spider-man from the original SMC?
EDIT: From what I read on another board, Phoenix is apparently NOT Elektra's body in that she has a new hip design, and that all of the upcoming figures will use these new hips or a different improvement instead of Elektra... hopefully this is true and the mean comments I've been saying can be turned to "Oh look Storm!" and "So Black Widow's a Russian Spy? Not like a modern-age Spider-woman or Venom's sister or something"
This picture is unusally orange no?

quote: The pics we've seen before, plus some others (Ultimate Rhino, Movie Dr. Octopus, Scorpion)
http://www.411beanies.com/2004toyfair/toybiz/
I'll comment on them tomorrow, today I'm dead...
There was also a TV Lizard.
My comments:
Ultimate Rhino: I've admitly never read the Ultimate books and I don't like his design... but I guess it's good they're opening the door for these variant designs
Movie Doc Oc: I like him, for some reason I thought the toy would be really bad looking, but he's pretty good.
CGI Cartoon Lizard: After seeing a different picture, he appears to NOT be CGI cartoon Lizard, he's still not bad though
Scorpion: He's very average looking, I was hoping for one of this more robotic forms or something more visually striking then "guy-in-jumpsuit-with-tail"... apparently this is a temporary look, it's based off an old Toy-Biz Goldburg figure.

MORE PHOTOS!!! Cyber-Spider-man's pretty keen, Mattel just announced a line of Robotic Batman figures this Spider-man and Mecha-Hulk are going to go along with them great I bet!
