Hi i was looking for a mini controller for my g4 ibook. My old gravis pad peaced out on me since i took it apart. Anyways I really dislike large controllers especially for my laptop and prefer like a mini nes pad (or even smaller ) type of deal. The only large controller I liked for my hand was the old Virtual Boy controller created by that genius Gunpei Yoko.

But I digress does anyone know where i can find a really really mini controller for a pc?

Heres an example of the sort of size Im looking for:

From the time I spent searching, here were a couple that I found that, even if not the size of the NES controller, were at least comparatively smaller:

Interact Go Pad FX (Reviews: The Control Center / Joy-Stick.net || IGNGear)
Brandless mini PC gamepad from BS Game / Game-Accessory.com (Same as Hais Mini Pad for PS1)

Don't know how to order 'em, though -- and I couldn't find 'em on ebay. (It was just a quick search.)
EDIT: Never mind -- I found some untested GoPads on eBay, and starting bids (some already have bids) are a dollar plus shipping.

If you're also open to getting a PS/PS2-to-USB converter, Mad Catz also has a small controller, the MicroCON. I've got one which I use for the PS1 -- buttons and pad are a bit clicky, and the controller feels a bit gummy, but it is pretty small and overall useable. Personally, I like it -- your mileage may vary. (I don't know if the PS2 LumiCON is as small -- might just be similar design.)

Oh, and speaking of NES-style controllers... the MadCatz RetroCON. (Article with another picture)

This is just what I could come up with in the time I searched, though. Others might have better suggestions.

The smallest PC controller I can recall seeing is/was the Gravis Stinger (5"x4"x1"), but it uses a serial port (instead of USB) and you're going to have a hard time finding one now.

I don't even know if it works on anything newer than Windows 98...

I think OmegaDog had a better solution with a PSX-USB adapter and one of the tiny tiny PS2 controllers.

After reading this thread I had to order me one of those RetroCONs. If anyone cares I can post some general impressions about it once it arrives. Though I'm sure the net's full of reviews about it, they all lack the hihihi. So there.

IGNGear actually has its own review and pics of the RetroCON. Still though, the controller really interests me -- I'd like to see others' impressions of it.

That review actually made me decide to buy it, but I still thought I'd rant about it once I get it.

I got the controller in the mail today. It's utter crap. Who would have thought? A crap 3rd party controller. Gee. End of breaking news.
