the dub is quite horrible, and no, you cannot change it to japanese voices. whats worse is that the sounds dont match the mouth movements, so you have to cover your ears and your eyes. or look away.
the game itself is quite fun, but feels unpolished. for example, the book lists d,d + attack moves, but theyve been taken out. there is no way to do some of the moves in the manual. weird.
i like the new characters generally. nagi, and reiji are cool, and ryoho is different. but, and this is a big but - if you use reiji, anytime you have him change to a crow, expect slowdown. slowdown to the extent that you want to destroy something small and cute and innocent. there is no other real slowdown in the game.
otherwise, i like it. there are other things, little nagging things (no triple replay on a badass ko), but also nice little touches (blood, dna mode, uranus' 3rd beast drive).
oh yeah, they also took out cronos and ganesha (my favorite character). i guess ill just have to settle for stun.

So, overall it's pretty good. The DNA mode is some kind of story mode? BR2's story mode was really nice.
What you say about the voices is very lame... It sure is an annoying thing. Ok I dunno, maybe I'll get it if the price drops. I can get right now BR3 for half the price.

4's a lot better than 3, for the most part. And it's either better or worse the EX depending on how attached you were to Cronos / Ganesha / Custom Combos. The cast is basically everyone from 3 (including Kohryu / Uranus) plus the 3 new guys Nagi, Reiji, and Ryoho + Mana. Don't bother looking for anything on the internet, as Konami's site for the game sucks, and my site is nowhere near complete.
Looks a better, and the gameplay has been cleaned up a bit. The music / sound is overall worse, and the levels in this one are kind of lame too. Also, only 3 new characters though, which kind of sucks. The voice acting is absolutely horrible (which makes no sense since as of yet there has been no JPN release), and what little story there is, also sucks. I don't particulalry like the new characters, the fact that they've balanced out the old a lot better (except Uriko). Actually, I do like Reiji, but he's the lord jesus christ of this game, so it's no fun using him.
Career Mode is good and bad. On the one hand, you can use it to basically totally customize your charatcer, including changing stats, and basic abilities, unlocking new moves and combos, or even giving them other characters moves (stun w/ bakuryu QCF + P and Alice's QCB + K flipckicks is hilarious). THe down side however, is that it's really really tedious since it's super easy, and there's no real rhyme or reason to it, you just do a lot of random fights, and occasionally you get an ability.
I'm working up a guide for it (which you can find on gamefaqs, and on my website), though I haven't updated it in a while (since my PS2 has taken the piss).

Thanks for the info, If I had the money, I would buy BR3 and 4 right now, but I'm currently saving money for the KOF Memorial Box. It's really hard to fullfil all my needs with just the money I get every weekend from my parents...
trufenix: I'll take a look to the faq and your site, I'll be happy to tell you my opinion later. Maybe this weekend, as I'm kind of busy right now.
quote: The interesting thing about BF4 is, I don't recall the game ever being released in Japan... in fact, it's not even presented in Bloody Roar's official site (JP section).
Really? Konami lately has the trend of releasing the games first in the States and later in Japan... The worst thing about it is that the later Japanese version usually has some improvements, upgrades or extras that the American doesn't. Then again, it didn't happen with Castlevania, appart from the Limited Edition goodies. Do you think that this Bloody Roar 4 may get an upgraded Japanese version?
Get ready and place your bets there!
