They aim to sell at least 1.800.000 copies of Bio Hazard 4. Way to go, Capcom!

Resident Evil remake on GameCube sold 445,000 units in the US through the end of November 2003 It sold more than 300,000 units in Japan through 2002. It is itching to slide past the million-seller mark on a global level. Resident Evil 0 tallied 350,000 units in the US through November 2003. It did a little more than 360,000 units in Japan through 2002. It also hovers around the million-seller mark worldwide.

Oooooh man. As much as I like the cube versions i think this is a bit far fetched.
Unless they have this gigantic marketing campaign that includes tv ads with subliminal messages.

Oh yeah. And Capcom is lazy.

I agree that this seems a bit unrealistic. I have a vested interest in this game being ported due to low Gamecube sales (I'm cheap and only own a PS2) but I still odn't want to see Capcom fall on their face again.

that's exactly how I feel. though I do own a GC, and just want it on PS2 so I only have to carry one game system around o_0

The way I see it, this pretty much confirms rumours that Bio Hazard 4 isn't going to be GC exclusive forever.

Either that, or someone is really talking out of their ass. I wish I could see a copy of the contract.

I liked the remake RE for Gamecube a lot... it was fun going through that version. Played RE2 a lot, but I wouldn't buy the remake on Gamecube. Haven't played RE3, played only a little bit of RE:CV (maybe about 5 hrs worth). Played REZero for 15 minutes until I got disgusted with the game turning into a sci-fi movie with the liquid blobs and taking a gander at the Sephiroth-wannabe boss.

I'd play RE Outbreak if I had a broadband adapter to play it with. I prefer the traditional RE type of settings. Dunno if I'd get RE4... especially if it's like REZero.

Maybe they've gotten hold of a licensed Nintendo property. It worked for Namco.

You mean, like, Kirby as a secret GC exclusive guest star?

They should do as Microsoft was once rumoured to have done: give you a PS2 game for each RE4 copy you buy ^*^

Hey, if they can have a block of tofu, why not? I want a scene where Kirby eats Jill and then shoots Leon with a bazooka.

Capcom could easily sell 1.8 million of RE4............If it was release on PS2.

Perhaps. I think if the reason that a game doesn't sell well is just because of the system it is on, then that reason sucks.

The reason doesn't suck cuz most Gamecube user only buy nintendo games. one example is Eternal Darkness for GC, that game was excellent but sell very poorly cuz most GC user only buy mario and zelda games.

I don't buy Nintendo games, I buy GOOD games. And, maybe a coincidence or mabe not, I buy a lot of Nintendo games.

Of course, I also buy other games, but with this I want to say that if people buy Nintendo games isn't because they are from Nintendo, but because they are GOOD.

And abot RE4, I'm totally sure that it would sell way more copies if it were released in the PS2, but that's because there are A LOT more PS2 than GC, so the number of potential consumers is also greater. It's a mere question of numbers.
