I'm kinda bored lately since every game I want (SO3, SMT3, ST5, etc) seems like they are never getting translated. So basically I'm going back and beating older games I didn't finish. So I just finished playing Disgaea(beat it before but not the good ending) and Breath of Fire 5; now I'm playing through RAD with the surfer dude sounding guy.
Not to derail the thread, but is there anything someone who likes playing console RPGs should be looking forward to that actually has a chance of being released this year?
EDIT: Oops, game I regret buying include VOoT (Sorry, but I think like most Sega games, it's a bit overrated), Hoshigami, Wild Arms 3 and Rhapsody of Zephir (since I paid a lot for it, then decided it didn't look that interesting). With the exception of RoZ I've sold off all the others.

Apart from SO3 director and ShinMegaten3NM?
Let's see... FF12? which will afterwards have a FF12 international + last mission omega sequel with 30 hours of new game, but crappy english dub, so I know I won't buy any.
The DQ5 remix is supposed to be completed in April. I haven't played any DQ apart from 7, but I heard the real fans of DQ think it's the best of the series, so I know I'll have a look. Not really RPGs, but Phantom Brave is nearly here, and Front Mission 4 had good reviews... Most of all, I think those 3 games won't have a +alpha version released, so we can get them while they're hot.
I don't think anything has been anounced apart from that... Generation of Chaos 4, maybe, but I'd rather wait for the reviews before I get it...

I have made it a New Year resolution of mine to play more games in '04 than I did in '03 (although being in Grad. school makes this insanely difficult)
Anyway currently playing: FFT:Advance, Space Channel 5 - Part 2, Metriod Prime(still, I know, it's embarrasing I haven't finished it yet), SvC:Chaos
I hope to play: Soul Calibur 2, Mario Kart:DD, F-Zero GC, finally complete all Samba De Amigo songs/challenges, Mark of the Wolves, and basically any DC games I haven't given much attention to.
Regret buying - I think there are only 2 games I have ever bought and returned: F-Zero 64 (I just couldn't enjoy it) and SaGa Frontier for PS1 (again, nearly had to force myself to play it, never even finished it).

Luisinan: You aren't alone about Golden Sun. I felt that the first game was boring, repetitive and too easy. Good story, but not good enough to warrant me drudging through the game and pressing 1 button over and over again to get through fights. Whether or not you use Djinn... it's still too easy. I also fail to see why this RPG series is given such high marks.
Anyhoo... I'm playing FFX-2 right now. Game is okay, but doesn't capture the same magic as FFX did. It just feels like a shade of a usual Squaresoft game... not as polished in terms of gameplay and presentation. Also playing Double Dragon Advance, Mario & Luigi and will start Fire Emblem whenever I can get free time.
Hoping to someday get Sword of Mana, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Metroid: Zero Mission, Ninja Gaiden (why not) and River City Ransom EX.
Regret playing (thank God I didn't buy): SvC Chaos - slow, boring, broken, huge disappointment

Trying to get every ending in Dynasty Warriors 4 now. Otherwise to that, Super Mario Bros. 3 and anything else that I can waste time with.
Play in the future? (Most Wanted)Guilty Gear Isuka, then I should add: Double Dragon 2 (get it back to play), Monster Hunter, Sengoku Musou, Shinsen Gumi, Seven Samurai 20XX, Crimson Tears, MMX Command Mission, Sammy vs. Capcom, SVC Chaos, Way of the Samurai 2...and if I get time, Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends, R-Type Final, Crimson Sea 2 and Final Fantasy XI when it makes it to PS2 in Canada.
Haven't regretted buying anything to this point.

Currently playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 3 for the Xbox, and Project Gotham Racing 2. I am actually playing the games now, I originally bought them, and just jumped online to play. Now trying something different and actually playing the game the developers made for single player and not just Live.
Also playing NBA Street 2, and finished Smackdown: Here comes the pain for the 4th time.
What games am I looking forward to? Strangely enough, nothing really sparks me. I know there's a lotta hype for the likes of Half Life 2, Halo 2, and what not. But nothing seems to really capture my attention for now. Too many games came out the last 6 weeks of last year, that I need to get back to. SSX3, Prince of Persia, and maybe even finish Halo come to mind.
Regret? Fortunately none. Am a big fan of rentals. If I wasn't though, I'd probably be very pissed off if I bought Max Payne which sucked majorly, i have no idea why people are into this series. I'd be disappointed with Amped 2, not that it is a bad game, but it doesn't seem to really benefit for Live play.
No wait, I take it back...
I regret buying Need for Speed: Underground. I have never seen a rental copy in, so traded some stuff in and bought it. Once the thrill of putting 'fashion accessories' on your car wears off, they game got kinda dull for me. Nothing like Midnight Club 2 or Burnout 2.
