If you're wondering what I've been up to as of late for the most part, those words sum it up. Early on, I got the the raw because I thought that no one would pick it up. Then, Anime-Kraze released the first fan sub of it and answered my call. Now, you'll most likely see my name in the "Special Thanks" column because I pointed out a few errors to them, and I guess I could be their consultant of the series.

In the future, if you people catch any errors in the fan subs, please tell me. Yes, I am making a big deal out of this series because it has been 25 years since Shintani Kaoru-sensei created "Area 88". You heard that right. 25 years.

To those who saw "Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken", yes, I'll still edit (and translate check) for that series. You'll just see me more involved with "Area 88" for now. Yeah, I've been a busy bee indeed.

I look forward to watching your work jazzie.

anyway, first ep was good. its been so long since I watched the OAV (and I never read the manga, except for when it briefly ran in animerica), it'll probably feel like a totally new story.

my only complaint: the CG - though not bad, per se, it just didn't meet my expectations (I think I've been spoiled by macross zero).

Does anyone know how I can remove the "everyone's having a seizure" effect? I had been using Koepi's last stable Xvid release, but now I just switched to the new one and I'm still having the "seizure" problem. It seems to be a frame rate issue? I think?

Oh yeah. I forgot to give thoughts. The first episode is real good. The characters have stayed true to themselves. When I first watched it, I was sort of surprised that Mick acted all serious early on, but I'm guessing that the director wants this to be a fast paced series.

Jasc thought that there should have been some sort of character development there. Wait for a few more episodes. Some series don't have development until the third episode or so I guess that there will be some sort of development in the third episode.

Oh! The second episode aired in Japan. You can expect me to get the raw and then the fan sub.

*nods*

One of these days, I will watch the OVA. Really! I heard that although it's good, it feels incomplete.

Don't worry. I will.

I wish I had the answer. I don't think finding a different release would work.

Let's rename "Jazzie D" "Jazzie 88".

Not seen Area 88 yet... that's something to change.

About new series, the one I'm really waiting will be on TV during April.

And about this month series, I'm waiting for a little more episodes to make my mind.

*lol*

Other than this, Yumeria, and Juubei-chan as well as Rabbie's new series, most of the rest are questionable. Next season looks good though. Can't wait for ToP anime.
