You weren't refering to that excellent dubbing it has, were you? Never seen heard a better one before.
SIREN DUBBING ROCKS
Pathetic things apart, is all the gameplay like that demo shows? In this case, I could enjoy this game very very much. Should I ever learn Japanese first, of course ¬¬
"Kensu" & "Asina" such a nice couple. Damn boredom that can kill you with a sword! A friend of mine talking about elves in LOTR

I can't wait for the US version of Siren! I heard that in Japan they had to take the commercial for the game off the air because it was giving kids nightmares.
Not to quibble, but wouldn't subtitles require translation as well?
Capcom was smoking Amingo when they came up with him! -Henaki Fear the Reefer! (Or don't. I don't care.)

I meant there was 2 way to localise the game, the subtitles (good) and the dub (bad) but I knew the morons that would take the decision would automatically take the wrong one. Oh, well, what do you expect... As long as they don't make a Siren international + last mission with the english voices only, I don't care.

Oh. My. God.
I was really, really looking forward to this game. And now I discover that the dubbing is HORRIBLE. I guess I'll have to wait for the American release with hopes they do a better job, or have subtitles.
How dissapointing.

Oh god... I wish they hadn't done this. I hope that they can cram Japanese dialogue on there too.. or I'll just be pissed off...
HAHA! I apologize for saying that sony had learned their lesson. Guess I'll import the japanese version after all.

I'd like to think that the huge "work in progress" label means that those are temporary voices (since the game is finished, right?) but its probably wishful thinking

I like the site redesign, juan.
tell me something I don't know about videogames so that I can link your site again. Either that, or I'll just attribute one of my next updates to you. I'll do that - don't be alarmed.

The funny thing is, the game market is older than the US home video anime market yet they're years behind in dubbing and subtitling it's not funny...

Survival Horror and bad dubbing go together like peas in a pod, like peanut butter and jelly, like Laurel and Hardy....

Hehe thanks. I have some links but they either old or not that heavy game related.

Subtitles don't automatically equal good. Case in point: Zero Wing.
And then, of course, there's Magician Lord. Atrocious dubbing and illiterate subtitles.
The only solution: multilingualism. First, learning how to pronounce it, then, actually being able to be described with it.

Not that the anime dubbers are that great either. Sure, they have progressed, but examples like Saint Seiya make me wonder where is their common sense.... (and I am not just talking about the edits - chill out dude!)
Juan's new site design's incredible. Maybe I'll link to it for no reason at all.

Oh deah! I think it's an aathquake! Goodness me! I believe I've soiled myself! Should I call an ahmbulance?
...subtitles would be nice, but like Fatal Frame 2 there are probably instances where it's more immersive if you can just hear what people are saying. What they need to do is do a better job with the voice acting AND include subtitles.
The game looks quite cool... although I wish they let you actually drive the car into the police officer yourself instead of triggering a cutscene, even if you only had to hold down an acceleration button. Still quite cool though.
