Sorry for the blatant personal advertising, but... Yea. I have a real host for my old site now, so all the videos, Arcadia stuff, etc. will be located here:

click-stick.

I only have a temporary page up for now [with dead links, no less], but I hope to have some stuff up by tonight.

Thanks for looking.

Expect a bunch of random arcade-related content.

Should have waited on posting that link...

But anyway. There's a decent chunk of the actual content up there now. Be sure to check it out. The gods command it!

Congrats on your new site!

*looks at your room*

Where did you find:
the Rez LP?
the Fumiko (Shikigami no Shiro) poster?
the round black "P!" FLCL sticker?

Yeah, tate is the way to go :)
Progear, arrgh.
You got that little Aru figurine from the DVD right?
One of your SNK gals gashapon on your shelf (beside Akari) has fallen down!
Your Dreamcast is not plugged in?

Someone in Japan found the Rez vinyl in some record shop. Pretty damn difficult to locate, as one could imagine.

The Fumiko poster is from an issue of Arcadia... No idea which one off-hand, but I can look it up if you really want.

Yah, the Al figure is from LE set. Nice little thing, at that. [I really like the mouse pad that was included, too.]

That unstanding figure is Miina [OneTwi] from Dengeki Daioh.

And the P! is from Otakon. The Synch-Point gals were giving them away. [I wish I grabbed two of them.]

Whew... and... yea, the DC is not plugged in because I just brought it back home from school. EDIT: Oh right, the video cable. I can only have one system plugged in at a time. [I use the Commodore monitor for all my game crap.]

[Huff-puff.]

Thanks for the feedback.

Mm... the $300 ASC or the smaller, less expensive version? Color me quite jealous if you got the ASC.

Behold, the Post-It method:

Apply Post-It notes to each corner of poster. [Maybe the middle, too.] Then apply tape to the Post-It. Slap to wall.

Post-Its never leave residue on the posters, so it's all good. The posters tend to sag after a while... sometimes... But some new tape [and maybe a couple extra Post-Its] will do the trick. They hold up surprisingly well, though.

Hahahah... Um, no just the regular, smaller version, which I have a hard enough time playing 9-line on. ^^;; It (and the IIDX ASC) does look really spiffy, but I think I'd sooner get a metal DDR pad before I'd get either ASC..... Not to mention that konamistyle.com probably doesn't take overseas orders, so I'd have to use Yahoo!Japan auctions to get an ASC.

I still like KBM better, at least right now, but Pop'n 8 has a ton of songs... ^^;

hehe i'll try it out this saturday anyways. i actually had a similar idea, but thought of using paper or some sort of plastic instead of post-its. but now that i think about it, it probably wouldn't have worked too well

thanks for the tip!

Ok since im curious too i'll go ahead and ask-

How do you exactly use the post it note? do you use a specific size of post it note? do you use the whole note or do you only use the strip that has the glue on it and cut the rest of the note?

Where may I buy Arcadia magazine? that SS0 poster almost made me scream.

And cry too.

I guess standard size is good enough [3 in. x 3 in.] You can use the whole note or trim off the extra garbage... There doesn't seem to be any benefit in cutting off the paper, though. Just make sure you use the tape right on the opposite side of the adhesive. [Don't go sticking the tape in the middle of the Note, ya know?]

And apply the Notes in the extreme corners of the poster... As close to the edges as you can. Always make sure the adhesive side is closest to the poster edges [example: flip them upside down for the bottom of the poster.]

EDIT: Amazing visual reference

But... does that clear everything up?

I get Arcadia from someone over in Japan. www.jdcr.com used to sell them, but they're out of business now.

Also, there are instructions for ordering the mag on the official site over here, but I never tried it. [I don't have a fax machine.]

Awesome, thanks. I got two paper posters up with masking tape (which they have been up for a while and they havent ruined the thing...yet!) so i'll try that as soon as i
get home and see how long it lasts up there.

I guess i'll search for another online store, it feels kinda iffy faxing the credit card, but it probably isnt any different than buying stuff online.

One more question, whats the arcadia numbers and volumes for the magazines that have the ss0 poster and the cover with mature and vice?

Hmm... good luck. I've never seen any other retailers that carry the mag...

Vice and Mature - Issue No. 31 [December, 2002]

SS poster - Issue No. 43 [December, 2003]

i think i saw an unopened Mature and Vice Arcadia on eBay for $30-40. i almost impulse bought it. almost. but that was months ago. who knows what prices they've shot up to since then

oh, many thanks for the thorough instructions! Athena goes up tonight!

probably won't work on my new posters though. those things are huge, even bigger than my door. i'd probably need a dozen post-it notes per poster

damn, i should've measured my room before i bought those things. i need to figure out another place to put them . . . hmmm, i talk too much when i'm lacking sleep. this is depressing
