Just wondering if there are any Shinya Tsukamoto fans on this board..I saw his latest film "A Snake Of June" some days ago(there is a film festival this week)
The film was shot in b&w and then printed in color thus creating a blue-ish image.(Tsukamoto himself describes it as black and blue which points to bruises on one's body).Of course, the obsessions the director has about body mutation,
violence, city buildings - human bodies, etc are still evident. In his biggest-budget film this time. The photography and the whole "feeling" of the film is great.
So has anyone else seen it?Or any other films of his?

The only Tsukamoto film I've seen is Tetsuo, which was pretty freakin' awesome. I've still yet to see the only other two films of his that have been released here in the US (that I know of), Tetsuo 2 and Tokyo Fist.

Well I saw Tokyo Fist again at the festival a few days ago.I'm going to see Tetsuo II again tomorrow (if I wake up..)
Tetsuo II is more like a "normal" film in the sense that it has the structure of a "movie" unlike Tetsuo which is pretty much a cultural shock (to me at least)

I've only seen Tetsuo and Gemini. I have to see more of his films, and this one seems to be very interesting. Susumu Terajima is in!!

Have you guys seen any Takashi Miike films? In Dead or Alive 2 and Ichi the Killer, you can see Shinya Tsukamoto as an actor.
